Slidell Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 http://epicbattleaxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/me2-cncl.jpg Innovation is a precarious proposition; at times rewarded handsomely and at others dispelled without a second thought. This is one of those ‘others’ situations. According to reports surfacing today, EA has stopped development on Mirror’s Edge 2. The publisher was shown a working prototype by DICE and subsequently declined to move forward with the sequel. The dev team that had been working on the Mirror’s Edge follow up has now been shifted to other projects. Late last year, EA boss Frank Gibeau commented on the lackluster reception garnered by the original game: “There were issues with the learning curve, the difficulty, the narrative, and then there was no multiplayer either.†I mean why bother making great looking and innovative games when you can just pump out a brownan grey shooter with HARDCOOOORE MULTIPLAYER? ******* casuals. http://www.gametrail...-cancelled/3006
