iBotPeaches Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 http://i56.tinypic.com/2ajrq6d.png Yeah, I didn't know that our most visited forum in that past 2 months was COD. Makes me think what I should start posting about. http://i54.tinypic.com/2miszn.jpgYes, the spam. Look at the bottom of the index page and look for all those blank striked usernames. Those are bots. This quote explains it. All stats are since 1 January 2011 to 13 January 2011. The spam service has processed 300,000 requests and the rate is accelerating as more people are activating the service since spamming has increased over the last couple weeks.About 30% were marked as spam accounts and therefore prevented from registering on IP.Board's that use the service. This is of course a much higher percentage then even a few weeks prior to the influx of spam registrations.source http://i53.tinypic.com/2a77k75.jpgPosts weekly could be better. Its now obvious that we barely get 180-200 weekly posts. Thats embarrassing. Hopefully with the changes we can attract some new members.
gruntmods Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 perhaps the spam posts end up in the COD section? I cannot see most of our traffic being COD.
Randomrocket Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 perhaps the spam posts end up in the COD section? I cannot see most of our traffic being COD.same. It tripled the amount in off-topic. 1
