ITC investigating Xbox 360 over patent infringement claims by Motorola

The US International Trade Commission has agreed to hear Motorola's case against Microsoft, according to reports.

 

Handset maker Motorola Mobility filed its complaint against Microsoft in November, alleging that the company used Motorola patents in its Xbox game console. The patents in question relate to features such as wireless networking and video decoding.

 

Motorola Mobility, which Motorola plans to spin off in 2011, is seeking an exclusion order, as well as a cease-and-desist order against Microsoft in order to keep its game systems from being imported into the US, Reuters reports.
