Ok so I was wondering I have heard many people say if you build your own computer you save more money if you build your own and not buy a pre-made computer? well I have a few questions keep in mind my friend is trying to find these hardware componets at the cheapest price possible. All I am asking is if people might know a few places where he could get these at the lowest price possible

Intel® Core i5-750 quad-core processor [2.66GHz, 1MB L2 + 8MB shared L3 cache] - Where could he get this for a really cheap price?

OR

Intel® Core i7-870 quad-core processor [2.93GHz, 1MB L2 + 8MB shared L3 cache] (Cheapest Price?)

6GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [3 DIMMs] (Cheapest Price?)

500GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive (Cheapest Price?)

1GB ATI Radeon HD 5450 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter] (Cheapest Price?)

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio (Sound Card) (Cheapest Price?)

The MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) (Motherboard) (Cheapest Price?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

dont get it. HPs arent that great to begin with.

newegg.com is a really good site to buy computer parts. Dirt cheap and really good shipping rates.

search up your products on newegg

You also have to have a computer case and power supply. I recommend anything made by Antec. Amazing cooling and really good quality for low prices.

ASUS makes good mobos, Antec makes good cases, PSUs, and fans, Intel makes good processors, Radeon makes good video cards. lol.

i agree for msot of this! if he wants to save money and still have performance. get an amd 1055t.

let me rephrase what I said. Intel makes good processors. AMD makes good processors for like a tenth of the cost. haha

I got an AMD Phenom II x4 945

Antec 900. Nice and cool case, and decently cheap.

Phenom II for a good, cheap CPU, I7 for top of the line performance.

DDR3 RAM, I'm not going into brand/speed, it doesn't matter much.

Brand name motherboard, stay away from Foxconn and other cheap boards.

Graphics is all a matter of opinion really. Btw, you aren't going to be gaming on a Radeon 5450.

I wrote this really quick, my dinners getting cold.

This guy is asking for help on how to build a PC.....do you think he will be good at overclocking? Get a AMD Phenom II x4 945 processor a very good processor and not too expensive. I wouldnt know how it compares to an i7 but this works pretty well for me. Im rendering videos and playing video games on my PC all the time.
