Slidell Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 Space/time is CONSTANT (always 100%). Both time and space are malleable - they can change with in spacetime, but no matter how big or small one part is. The total will always be 100%. Example 1Travel through space (X) = 0%. Spacetime always = 100%Therefore: time travels at 100% the "normal" rate (Our only experience on Earth) Example 2:Travel through space (X) = 50% the speed of light.Spacetime always = 100%Therefore: time travels at ~80% the "normal" rate.(Time slows down) Example 3:Travel through space (X) = 99% the speed of light.Spacetime always = 100%Therefore: time travels at ~2% the "normal" rate.(Time nearly stops) Large Hadron Collider has proven this. Also there's a Russian Cosmonaut that was going around the earth at around 17 thousand miles per hour for quite along time. And traveled an estimated two seconds into the future because of it. May not seem like much, but that mother******s a time traveler. 1
Pargy Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 (edited) Have you been watching The Universe on History or something? They just had an episode about this. You should read/watch Carl Sagan's Cosmos, it's really interesting and he talks a bit about this. The series is amazing, but the book is even better, he goes into a lot more detail then he could on the show. Edited August 22, 2010 by Pargy
Lockon Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 Going around the earth once is 90 mins in space but on earth its takes a few days. So time travelling is real.

Nothing goes over better than, "I'd like to have an in depth conversation about string theory.". Nuclear physics comes out on the second one, then Quantum Mechanics. Then after that, I make my move. Because I play it smooth. Edited August 22, 2010 by Slidell 1
Decatur Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Going around the earth once is 90 mins in space but on earth its takes a few days. So time travelling is real. OR it's because they have little/no air resistance, high power engines and nothing in their god damn way.
Randomrocket Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 OR it's because they have little/no air resistance, high power engines and nothing in their god damn way.but they arent blasting their engines constantly. Thats one of the things to look for in a space movie. Star Wars, Star Trek, and even Halo has it wrong. In space you dont need to keep your engines on like on earth, because there is no air friction or gravity. Just blast them for a few seconds to get moving then blast them in the opposite direction to stop. Lasers are also another thing. In space we cant see the laser going from one object to another. You would just see something get hit or blow up or whatever. Since there is nothing for the laser to reflect off of in space to let other things see it. 1
Lockon Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Space has the most gravity ever. so 'zero' gravity isn't true and its only science fiction

lostmodz26 Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Dude my brother is an expert at this stuff.
iBotPeaches Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Cause his name is Zero Gravity, or some real educational background?
lostmodz26 Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Cause his name is Zero Gravity, or some real educational background? Educational background. He got into that stuff right after he stopped modding halo.
