Negative Se7en Posted August 13, 2010 Author Report Posted August 13, 2010 Yah IM getting a different one...well making a new comp. Im gonna have a dif mobo 12 GB ram and an i7
connorss Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 What do you use this computer for. i can help u pick out parts and that for ya
Negative Se7en Posted August 13, 2010 Author Report Posted August 13, 2010 Well I use it for rendering out videos in After Effects, HD. As well as rendering out some animations and CGI that i do in 3DS Max with advanced tracking. I also use it for a program called boujou if u know what that it, it doesnt take much processing power to run. I also use it for capturing HD footage off my Xbox and just browsin the web. Thats all i can think of for now sooo...
iBotPeaches Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 The motherboard definitely is favoring the video cards. It has a massive 3 PCI Express slots just in case you want to house 3 massive video cards. Otherwise it looks fine. What did you pay for that motherboard?
gruntmods Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 6 could be a 8 but you need to upgrade to i7If hes rendering he would see a better increase by upgrading video cards as the core2 quad is more then enough.I suggest a gtx 460 as thats what me connors and quinn are getting. If the cpu starts to slow, a good overclocking is what the doctor ordered. 1

I would say if you got the money to get a 460, after market cooler and some high quality paste.here are some links to what i would recommend. GTX 460: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125333&cm_re=gtx460-_-14-125-333-_-ProductAfter market cooler: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181010&Tpk=h50Thermal Paste: http://www.heatsinkfactory.com/ic-diamond-24-carat-thermal-compound.html
