Help :(

I know this isn't a support section but o'well. Ok so this might be kinda long but watever, so i haven't even touched this computer(not the one I'm using to type this) in forever. My dad has been using it and so at first it wasn't connecting to the internet. come back 45 min l8r and idk wat he did but its weird. When i turn on the pc it takes me to that login screen as if i pressed ctrl alt del at the windows logon page. cant exit away from it. You can only login by typing in a user name or shut down. after logging in you cant access the internet, there aren't any connections in network connections, when you log off it givers a weird form but lets you log off, shut down, restart, etc. My dad says he did nothing but i don't believe that. Anyone got any ideas? I tried to take some print screens and put them on a usb but no usb shows up in the computer.

No it is wired though I have tried connecting wirelessly.

Take some pics with a camera or something

 

And maybe your NIC driver isn't installed...

 

Open up device manager and see.

 

Failing that, wipe the computer and start again.

windows xp or older? didnt windows 98 let you press the escape key at the login screen so you didnt have to login? If you are running 98 (god help you if you are) try that. lol

 

let me get this straight:

 

It wasnt connecting to the internet at first,

your dad messes with it, you come back and its weirded out,

it still wont connect to the internet.

I know what this is, it's a virus that overwrites the login procedures. Will find microsft kb article and link you.

im talking about when your at the login and you press ctrl alt delete and you get that other menu where it says like username and pass and you type em in. oh and you cant click cancel its faded out or watever.

That. Except theres no "cancel" button and theres no "Log on to" bar.
