Slidell Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 (edited) So after two months we had a discussion with [ubisoft] Paris⦠and they asked us to propose something else⦠The first thing we identified was that we needed to focus on the core values of Splinter Cell: stealth, realism, tactics, lights and shadow, gadgets, Sam Fisher â all of these things, we wanted to do them, but Ubisoft didnât want us to make another Double Agent or another Chaos Theory. but Ubisoft didnât want us to make another Double Agent or another Chaos Theory. Quinn Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Regardless, it should be a good game. But why, oh Ubisoft do you have to shit on us PC gamers by postponing our release date?

Slidell Posted April 19, 2010 Author Report Posted April 19, 2010 Regardless, it should be a good game. But why, oh Ubisoft do you have to shit on us PC gamers by postponing our release date? Excessive regenerating health (more so than in DA)Can't hide bodiesNo sound meterNo light meter, instead enjoy playing half the game in black and white. No shoulder swapping the cameraWhistling has been removedAI not as sophisticated as Chaos Theory's (less atmospheric AI, AI isn't as good at searching for you and making you feel accomplished when you successfully hide from them)Guards are pretty much consistently on high alert because you can't hide bodies. Have fun doing the co-op no-detection missions. No more stalking animationOn that note, no more sneaking animations at allNo more knifeOnly one speed of moving while crouching - brisklyNo more interrogating (interrogating is back but only to further the plot in scripted events, no more funny/useful interrogations with random guards that increase immersion)A lot more "voice actor awkwardly trying to channel Jack Bauer" Sam FisherLambert is dead before the game startsStory is essentially one massive subplot from DA without the trademark tact and disgression the other games had.5 hour single player campaignOne entire mission from the campaign is a flashback to Iraq where the game doesn't allow you to use stealth.Spy vs. Merc multiplayer completely taken out of the gameDemo released on Xbox Live is essentially the finished product
Random1225 Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) Its a fun game I guess but nothing of what i wished it would be. Also I really liked how Sam looked in the original trailer but no of course they change that Best parts were the interrogations but I missed the funny bits of dialogue when interrogating random people and the stealth is so stupid. I hate the black and white, i hate not being able to move bodies, and I dont like that you HAVE TO kill since you cant knock them out and its basically impossible to avoid people sometimes. That'll be like a English developed metal gear solid!
