MS Suing Datel Again over 360 Controllers

Microsoft has filed complaints in U.S. District Court in Seattle and with the International Trade Commission alleging that Datel's Xbox 360 game controllers infringe on Microsoft's patents. The company is seeking both injunctions against Datel as well as monetary damages.

 

"We have a robust licensing program that ensures high standards and contributes to a great experience for the Xbox gamer community," Kutz [MS spokesman] said. "We have a responsibility to protect that program and the companies that are part of it, as well as our own intellectual property."

What the heck is Microsoft's problem with other companies making accessories for the xbox???

 

I bought a Datel Xbox 360 controller a long time ago. It worked fine until a few months ago the xbox stopped reading it as a controller. It was also right after an update was applied to the xbox. Now I wasted $35 on a controller because Microsoft is too selfish.
