well, heres two recent tags. i dont really like the outcomes, but tell me what you guys think

The first one IMO would look far better in colour, with the black & white it is hard to distinguish between things. On the second one, the bit in the background doesn't really fit the style of the person. Looking at him/her I would expect a more clean, sterile environment. I know that's not proper gfx critique, but I hope it helps you a bit.
