Quinn Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I'm getting a lot of the classic signs of overheating, but, really, my temps aren't super high. I also have a friend with the same card that goes to higher temps than mine, and is stable. And, this only happens some days.-- Anyways, after about an hour or two of playing Borderlands or Battlefield: Bad Company 2 they CTD and thats when shit hits the fan. Funny colours, shit jumping around the screen. I managed to grab a screen of Chrome when it was doing this. I also took a screen of my temps after playing Borderlands for 30 mins straight. You'd think that this would be a constant thing. Also, it doesn't matter where I am in the game (either one). Any ideas? Driver issues? This PC eats up Bioshock II, S.T.A.K.E.R. and other games with no problems.---This is the list of games that have ever done this to me:L4D 1Bioshock II (resolved, it was an issue with the configs)BorderlandsBFBC2GTA SA The games can be both new and old, so the overheating makes no sense right? I mean you wouldn't expect GTA SA to overheat a modern system. Hell my brother can even play that game, and his PC is a god damn dinosaur.
matty0 Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 set it to its stock settings (no OC) then run it for half an hour and see if it happens. if the same thing occurs then i would suggest either change your drivers (make sure they match your friends as his clearly work) or perhaps you have a faulty fan on the card and will need to fit a replacement. just ideas
