blacklabelfosho Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 personally i dnt really enjoy the wii much... srry. its a new technology that i dnt really find fun. but here goes. i have Need for Speed Pro Street.and i mean ive played it on the other consoles and it is a really fun racing game with many options of customability for any car you choose to "trick out"i mean im sure if u go online u will never see two identical cars. just so many options.the response time from the wii controller movement is slow, so i find myself having to move the "wii-mote"the direction i want to turn wayy before i reach the turn. i haven't seen this problem in any of the other games out for the wii so i dont know what its problem is on this one.game isn't too long, but i love racing my dad and whooping his a$$.i do like how they didn't make the NOS regenerate. in the last games i found myself hating the fact that i would lose because i would use my nos only on straight parts of the track and my dad would hold the NOS button the entire race.overall 8.8/10 Wii-Sportsa fun collection of mini games for the wii. its more to show all the different things the system can do. so i find it fun.its more of a family game. i wouldn't want to sit around and just play wii-bowling by myself.fun mini-game game that comes with the console. game gets a good rating if u have friends to play with 8/10 Sonic vs Mario Olympicsbasically its the same type game as the wii sports except u get much more games, and u get to use familiar characters from either of the two games. also inside all the more expansive mini-games. (lol i know) there are just simple card games to play to unlock little easter eggs in the game. this takes wii-sports to a new level of fun. and i love the trampoline game. 8.4/10 i will update this list when i get some more games. i have some but i haven't played them yet
SmokiestGrunl Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Got some pretty sweet games there, but I find the wii boring. On the game "Wii sports bolling" I was able to predict were the ball was going to go because it always went in the same direction (could of been because of the postion of the senser). Nice collection of games but get more .
.Slack♠ Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 i wanna see a super mario galaxy review
NeoBatWare Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 8.4 is way too high for mario and sonic at the olympic games. It's just a random collection of mini games with Mario and Sonic in front of it and it is a horrible game imo and shoud have gotten a 6.2 at the most.
blacklabelfosho Posted January 29, 2008 Author Report Posted January 29, 2008 well i gave them the benifit of the doubt bc they are really fun(not for me) but the rest of my family loves them i find the games very boring, but for the casual person who doesn't "game" much, they are fun family games that they can just pick up and have fun with
Tomatoes Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 mario galaxy was a bit of a disapointment. ive gotten like 40 stars so far and not one of them was a challenge. the most recent boss i fought took 2 or 3 tries but thats the closest ive come to a difficult part in the game. i liked sunshine alot better. alot of people hated sunshine, but there was always something to strive for for me, as i loved the levels where your pack got taken away and you just had to do an obstacle course. apart from that, the levels are amazing, theres a bunch of fairly inventive power ups you can find and a bunch of side missions to do. the controls are good, they dont sacrifice playability to ***** off the new features. i give the game 7.5/10, keeping in mind i havent finished it yet.
EBaggie Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 We got a wii for the family games as we already have ps2/3 and each of the kids have a gaming spec pc in their bedrooms so we wanted a console that we could play together and have made a concious effort not to get the single player games. As a platform for family fun and a laugh when youve had a few beers then I dont think the wii can be beaten, 4 players 4 wiimotes and a detached house....heaven.
iBotPeaches Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 I enjoy the Wii for the classics like Super Smash, and Zelda games, but otherwise I don't see why to get them. The online play is lag fest and the single player is garbage..
NeoBatWare Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 I enjoy the Wii for the classics like Super Smash, and Zelda games, but otherwise I don't see why to get them. The online play is lag fest and the single player is garbage.. All of Nintendo's strength is in the series that they make. Every Zelda game is highly praised by reviewers, fans gawk at Smash Bros. games, and everyone loves Mario games. That's what Nintendo is good at. That's also why you don't see games like No More Heroes (which got very high reviews and looks like a really cool game) didn't sell nearly as many copies as it should have. About the online play, I'm pretty sure that Nintendo knows that Brawl's online is too laggy and I know they are working on an update for it. But the single player in Brawl isn't garbage. Sure, it's not the best (subspace emissary is alright) but it's not rubbish.
