Pargy Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 Yeah, for some reason i cant connect to IBM without using a proxy, is my ISP blocked or something?
iBotPeaches Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 Your ISP hasn't updated servers yet. The DNS they provide is probably slow to update. You have 2 options. 1) Wait till your ISP updates, which might be daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly 2) Change your DNS to something like openDNS or GoogleDNS (I perfer google) here: http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html That will use a different DNS system. Then simply restart, or disable/re-enable your internet connection and boom you can visit it. The main problem is I'm with a domain company that doesn't have as much strength as name.com, however I can't switch back to name.com for another few days since I failed verification of my email. 1
iBotPeaches Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Once I get back to name.com, all reported problems with the DNS will resolve.
Quinn Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 I was the first one to have this problem, Peaches messed with my hosts file and everything to try and find out the problem xD
iBotPeaches Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 Till I learned about the DNS and how easy it is to resolve the issue by switching DNS providers.
