Uncopyable Text BBcode

Can someone make me a BBcode that makes all text within the tags uncopyable but makes links within it still clickable

 

Ive seen people use something similar before

The not copyable is a simple javascript thing, one could just view the page source or disable javascript.

 

I haven't found anything that actually works to stop copy n pasting.

To be frank I doubt this is possible. It will be to a certain extent but you can never make it 100% copyable... What I would suggest is BBcode that turns the text into a image so that you could only copy the image... That would stop copy and pasters...

It sucks how thats not possible

 

I did see something that said that it can be possible to disable right-click and highlighting which is what Im looking into more

What about making it real easy and just copying the whole image

There's a way to display pages with empty source code (javascript), but in order to execute the javascript, you would need to use HTML or PHP.

 

HTML = source code, but PHP won't leave a thing. You could try to execute the javascript using PHP without writing it to the page, that way all you have to do is disable the page (jQuery can do this), and voila, no source code, no highlighting.

 

 

PS: I know for a fact that there is no source to a page written by javascript.

What?!

 

To display anything in the browser, it needs to be told what to display by HTML.

 

If you use Javascript and you expect it to change anything within the page, it must edit HTML.

 

A page with no source won't show up. simple

 

And what do you mean by a page written by javascript"? If it's written by javascript, but there's no source code, what the hell did your javascript write?!

I did see something that said that it can be possible to disable right-click and highlighting which is what Im looking into more

 

 

Disable right click and select is possible...

 

But you can use text grabbers... Source code... Google Chrome inspect element and more to get the text.

 

What about making it real easy and just copying the whole image

 

If you put little watermarks on then people will know where it has come from... IDK

Yeah, the best way would probably turn it into an image, and have all your text links at the bottom of the page.

 

And a few watermarks over the text would be a good idea. Or maybe even comments in the image file...

what Im trying to prevent from being copied again is a mod list, even though I haven't done much to mine in a while it was still copied and a person on 7S has been given credit for what I made for a while now

 

and I found out on MH that people still use them which is making me have to update mine

 

and I guess Ill just see if I can put a Watermark in it, maybe in the link names
