lostmodz26 Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 So today I was helping me friend transfer his music from his iPod to his computer. I was in teamviewer with him and right when he plugged it in iTunes opened up with this random dialog that we accepted and 10 seconds later all $300 of music was deleted. Is there anyway to get it back with some recovery software or something?
Random1225 Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Did it get deleted off the ipod? If so that happened to me because I was trying to use itunes on a mac and my ipod was formatted for windows. Also if his ipod is synced to another pc then putting it in yours would delete all the content of his ipod and replace it with yours.
TheEazyB Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 I think you might be able to get it back by calling Apple, but essentially it's up to them because If I remember right it's only a license for a single download.
Diggy Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 If I remember right, he should be able to download them again for free. Im sure you click 'BUY NOW' and it says something along the lines of "You have already purchased this item, press OK to download again for free." Not 100% sure though?
miinaturvat Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 And this is exactly why I don't use iTunes or an iPod. Get a real MP3 player!

If you think about it, they don't really have to do that. Like, you walk into a store and buy an album. You can lose that album, and even if you have your receipt they can't just give you another one. I think iTunes works the same way.

.Slack♠ Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 doesnt work for music apps only. He should just connect the ipod to the original computer he put the music on it with.
360 Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 (edited) Shouldn't this be in the Help Desk forum? I don't know, but just wondering. Anyway, I don't know if this works, but search google for "Recover My iPod" Click the link on your right. http://download.getd...yIPod-Setup.exe, search for an activation key for it if you want to save the files. If you can't find one go to warez-bb.org and search for it.
