Well, after many long hours on research, downloading, installing, downloading some more, burning, and a few final installs, I have finally got my Windows XP running along side my Windows Vista Ultimate! Its a SWEET combination and both run perfecly FAST and fine! Best part is, i'm running on a 33GB HDD and only using about 612MB of RAM! Both run EXCELLENT and better than ever! If you are interested or have any questions or comments, feel free to reply! Just thought i'd brag a little

I'll be downloading Ubuntu here in the near future when I get a new HDD. I want a bigger one before I go dualing two OS's again. Two OS's on a 37 GB HDD just leaves me with no space. When I get my paycheck next friday, i'm getting a 320 GB HDD. I also won a xbox 360 with a 20GB HDD on ebay for only $31.00 =D So i'm happy for that two. My pay check after this coming one will be for a bigger HDD and Halo 3 :-D

Well, I got band practice, PC!

Yeah Peaches, your right, I triple boot Ubuntu, Windows XP, and Mac OS X Leopard, all from my Dell computer. But with 2 HDD's.

Pretty much its this:

Windows XP first on, partition first, 80GB HDD to give Linux (Ubuntu) space. Install Ubuntu. Grub (boot program) automatically burned to MBR (master boot record) Then I bought a 80GB drive to use for Mac OS X. The first program I used was iAtkos, very nice "Mac on a PC" kinda emulator, didn't work the best some I'm trying to get Kalyway.

You think 2 OS's are fun... try 3!

Sorry, I've been quite busy here... like most of us, iBotModz is not my life and I'm forced to squeeze it out of my schedule when I need time for more important things.

Deathgrip: I know you posted awhile back, but if your still interested in some dual, or even triple boot help I can give you some help. I'll put a little info here and if your interested I can get you more.

First off, if you going to dual boot, I recommend AT LEAST a 80GB harddrive for 2 OS's, for 3 OS's, try maybe a 120GB minimum. Pretty much theres 4 operating systems we can get, and if you like me, and don't like Vista, it turns into 3.

Windows XP: Most computers already have this, but if you don't... I recommend to get a blank drive and maybe great the ISO file of a Windows XP OS from the VIP, it may be a special dark edition or something, and even though those are "bad" and not legal, they usually run better and fast.

Linux (Ubuntu): If you've never touched Linux in your life, I HIGHLY recommend you check out Ubuntu, Kubuntu, or Xubuntu. Though I find Ubuntu to be the easiest, and most user friendly for user customization. I actually have my Ubuntu looking like a Mac!

Mac OS X: Even though it would require some serious hard modding to both your computer and its parts, it almost impossible to get a real legal build of Mac OS X onto a PC. So if you like me, you'll go with a alternative, which has been customly modified to run the best it can to a PC's computer specs, and even though it may not be too well, it works. Using ATKOS or Kalyway are your best bet, but do note, unlike Ubuntu, these aren't for the faint hearted! But if you've softmodded halo before, well its similar to that, almost...

As I said, sorry for inactivity, and if your interested, I can help you.

I have a 500gb harddrive.

Dvd+Cd combo. Lightscribe and the whole works

I'm running Vista (not happy with it).

I've installed Os's countless times.

Now what?

If your not happy with Vista, get a flash drive and save all the files you want, then put on XP. Then Ubuntu.

I'm running off right now, but I'm sure you can find some Windows XP intaller .ISO's in the VIP section

Installing XP should be the easiest, burn the installer .ISO to a disc (big disc, maybe 4GB) then put your clean drive in your computer, plus the installer CD, then boot it up and it should be fairly easy to install Windows XP.

At the moment ubuntu 8.10, Gusty Gibbon, is in Beta, and will be out at the end of April if you can wait, apparently it greatly ups the abilities and makes the process of installing right next to windows incredibly easy...
