Stem Cell Research is a new cure for many forms of cancer, disease and disability but there are many people out there who say know its bad because you find stem cells in embryos and other places, just that embryos are the best. All the people who are against it say that you are murdering innocent baby's because they take the cells from a 5-10 day old embryo, even tho it isn't even a baby yet, its just a tumer with no brain or soul so its not a life, thats how I see it. I just want to know what you think.

More info here: http://stemcellcharter.org/ (you do need flash to go here and you can skip the intro if you want)

Yes, you can do research and cure all these diseases. That's good for those few people that would have dies of cancer.

Or is it? Did you save them? Or forced them to die of starvation due to lack of food because so many people are alive?

People are meant to die. Just remember that.

Did you know that around half of the people ever alive EVER are alive today?

Basically, if you're rich, it's good, and if you're poor, it's bad.

That's how most things in the worls work (Tax, health service, food, etc) :D

I agree that we are not god (or mother nature), and that everyone does die. But wouldn't it be against human nature to just let people die? I know if there was something that I could do to help people, I would do it. So I vote yes, it should continue.

Well going off your post alone, your scientific basis is that an embryo has 'no soul' and 'no brain', which implies you believe a baby develops a soul at some point. By this logic, you are inherently against stem cell research because of religious values :o. Edited by TheEazyB

I knew it'd go over your head.

A soul is a spiritual concept, ie RELIGIOUS.

Your SCIENTIFIC basis is that there isn't a SOUL yet. This means that one will develop at some point, which means you believe in souls. Show a religion that allows this and believes in souls (hint: there isn't one, science and religion don't mix).

Don't use emotional words like "babies" use "embryos" and "foetus" then people won't get attached to something that cannot think for itself and doesn't even know it exists yet.

Don't think about all the things you fear, just be glad to be here.
