Dataanti Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 any1 got some trials that they dont need .... or if ur super duper rich, a 1 month .... or if ur nuts crazy dirty rich, a 1 year :3 but really trials will do cause I NEED SOME to test out what makes you get banned for certain stuff and methods and a bunch of other stuff. so really a 1 year or month is a waste but trials wont be also one of them is for my new gamer tag and is reserved until the 6th but the rest will be used on different accounts which will help us find out what will get you banned, specifically GS modding, my theory is that achievements like vidmasters will get you banned because they unlock something that is special and it is for online, also online achievments that would normaly be only online and other achiements that is perfectly possible to get offline. also modding them and then making them gold, not modding them while they r gold, a bunch of different test will be done, if one survives then ill use it for the next test i will post the results and the gamertags when i make them DANG oops posted in off topic :/
TheEazyB Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) You forgot the fact that one account is not banned instantly for one offense, it may very well come in waves. Also, this idea is bad because if there is any evidence of modding period, you will be banned. Really just seems like a poor attempt at a scam. Edited September 28, 2009 by TheEazyB

Really just seems like a poor attempt at a scam. it does not come in waves and i know this because my friend got GS reset a month ago but i didn't but the second i get my last vidmaster it happens, so there must be a connection. ANNNDDD you dont get banned all you get is a GS reset
Quinn Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 I need xbl because mine ran out and I have other things to pay for

ANNNDDD you dont get banned all you get is a GS resetYou not being reset does not detract from there being waves, it just means you weren't flagged to be banned. The thing about not getting banned, is really hit and miss. The TOS say you will be banned, it really boils down to who deals with you.
Dataanti Posted September 30, 2009 Author Report Posted September 30, 2009 (edited) You not being reset does not detract from there being waves, it just means you weren't flagged to be banned. The thing about not getting banned, is really hit and miss. The TOS say you will be banned, it really boils down to who deals with you. incorrect, you will never be banned because of modded GS, it says here http://www.xbox.com/...orecheating.htm read the red part About Gamerscore correctionsA gamerscore correction occurs on a playerââ¬â¢s LIVE account when they gain achievements through avoiding game play and the use of external tools. LIVE is committed to keeping the service free of this type of behavior as it violates the LIVE Terms of Use. When abnormal achievement or gamerscore activity is found, LIVE modifies the gamerscore of players who meet specific and automated criteria. A LIVE player who obtained their gamerscore in this abnormal way will Find their gamerscore reset to zero, andBe unable to regain all previously earned achievements, andBe labeled as a ââ¬Åcheaterââ¬Â for the community to view. While players who have been identified by these criteria will start from a zero gamerscore, they will still be able to gain achievements for future games. In other words, we give them another chance to earn future achievements by earning them as other ââ¬Åfairââ¬Â players do. The original gamerscore correction will remain permanent without any way to appeal. Questions and answersUnder what circumstances does LIVE correct a specific gamerscore?Specific and automated criteria are used to determine if a player has earned achievements by using tools that circumvent the game or avoid game play entirely. A player who meets these criteria has their gamerscore corrected. How does LIVE know a player has been cheating on their gamerscore versus another player? We look for abnormal achievement and gamerscore activity using criteria that identifies users who have used external means to earn achievements without really playing the game. Users who play games legitimately to earn an achievements are unaffected by this. Does being a ââ¬Åcheaterââ¬Â change a playerââ¬â¢s experience on LIVE?We only correct the playerââ¬â¢s current gamerscore and label them as a ââ¬Åcheater.ââ¬Â This label can be observed on Xbox.com, and through the playerââ¬â¢s view of their gamercard on a console or PC connected to LIVE. They are still allowed to legitimately gain future achievements and the playerââ¬â¢s experience doesnââ¬â¢t change in any other way. I think I know someone who has been ââ¬Åcheatingââ¬Â ââ¬â why havenââ¬â¢t you corrected their gamerscore? For gamerscore corrections, cheating is when you gain achievements through avoiding game play and the use of external tools. If a player hasnââ¬â¢t met specific criteria then we donââ¬â¢t correct their gamerscore. If your definition of cheating is different, then gamerscore correction isnââ¬â¢t the answer ââ¬â you should consider reporting the user through the feedback reporting system. It is also possible that the player is not cheating at all. Iââ¬â¢ve had my gamerscore corrected, is there any way to appeal the decision? There is no way to appeal a gamerscore correction. We only correct gamerscores for players who meet the criteria 100%. Your best choice is to show the community you wonââ¬â¢t do it again. But it was my little brother/roommate/guest that did this using my gamertag. Can I appeal? No. As is outlined in the Terms of Use you are responsible for all activity on your account. Iââ¬â¢m worried I might get my gamerscore corrected. What should I do?Like the vast majority of Xbox LIVE members, if you earn achievements by playing through games like any other player, then you have nothing to worry about. Gamerscore correction only applies to players who use external means or avoid game play to earn achievements. Iââ¬â¢ve heard of other players getting banned. Why donââ¬â¢t you just ban these gamertags? We believe in players reforming themselves, which is why gamerscore correction only applies to previously earned achievements. This allows these players to earn achievements like other ââ¬Åfairââ¬Â players without having to get banned from LIVE. However, any user who violates the LIVE Terms of Use is subject to having their gamertag banned. Edited September 30, 2009 by Dataanti
TheEazyB Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 You really love to argue don't you? Let's set a few things into perspective here: The Terms of Use is agreed to by every member on creation of their account. That web page is not written into the terms of use nor the code of conduct, you haven't agreed to it nor have you ever been required to read it. The terms of service however, HAVE been required, and clearly state 5. How You May Not Use the Service. In using the Service, you may not: use the Service for commercial purposes (except as expressly permitted by us);engage in, facilitate, or further unlawful conduct;use the Service in a way that harms us or our advertisers, affiliates, resellers, distributors, or vendors , or any customer of ours or our advertisers, affiliates, resellers, distributors, or vendors;use any portion of the Service as a destination linked from any unsolicited bulk messages or unsolicited commercial messages ("spam"); or send, either directly or indirectly, any spam through the Service;use any automated process or service to access and/or use the Service (such as a BOT, a spider, periodic caching of information stored by Microsoft, or "meta-searching");use any unauthorized means to modify or reroute, or attempt to modify or reroute, the Service;damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service (or the networks connected to the Service) or interfere with anyone else's ability to access or use the Service;resell or redistribute the Service, or any part of the Service;disrupt, or try to gain unauthorized access to : any account, computer, hardware, or network related to the Service;obtain (or try to obtain) any data from the Service or related hardware, except data that we intend to provide or make available to you;use the Service or related hardware to design, develop, or update unauthorized software;use or distribute unauthorized cheats, macros, or scripts; orexploit a bug, or make an unauthorized modification, to any software or data to gain unfair advantage in a game , contest, or promotion. Also agreed to was the Code of Conduct, which states Some offenses warrant an immediate account cancellation, including but not limited to hacking, modding, fraud, severe racial remarks, nudity on the Xbox LIVE Vision camera, continued creation of profane gamertags or profile content, and posting viruses or URLs to viruses. Logically speaking, GS modding is a modification and as such you may be banned. /checkmate Don't try and debate when you don't know what you are talking about. /thread.
Dataanti Posted September 30, 2009 Author Report Posted September 30, 2009 im trying anyways >.> how come i didnt get banned? explain that
TheEazyB Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 incorrect, you will never be banned because of modded GS, it says here http://www.xbox.com/...orecheating.htm read the red part This is what I am addressing. Yes you can be banned for modding GS, like I said before it boils down to who deals with you. There is perfect justification for a ban. MS may decide to try a 'reform' program but in reality they can pull the plug anytime they want and ban you.
gabe_k Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 im trying anyways >.> how come i didnt get banned? explain that Because MS usually bans in waves once a year. Unknown v2, darkshallfall, anthony, and I all modded our gamerscore when the Halo 3 title update with new achievements came out. Unknown and I (I don't know about dark or anthony) got banned about the same time, but not immediately after modding our gamerscore.
Dataanti Posted October 1, 2009 Author Report Posted October 1, 2009 that doesnt explain y it happened as soon as i got the last vid master, the VERY second and it also doesnt explain y i didnt get banned i only got GS reset
TheEazyB Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Dark and Anthony both were banned. You getting it the 'very second' of the vidmaster has nothing to do with it, it's an achievement like any other one. All it means is that you were banned at that point in time. I already explained about the resets, MS may choose to do so or not. Your claim was that you will never be banned for the offense, which is untrue.
Dataanti Posted October 1, 2009 Author Report Posted October 1, 2009 well i can still play thoe so im not banned just my gs reset
.Slack♠ Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 and when you too far and get a console ban are you going to ask for a new xbox "trial"
Dataanti Posted October 3, 2009 Author Report Posted October 3, 2009 console ban does not allow you to play XBL, u can still connect to it thoe so yes if im testing GS reseting and stuff console ban wouldn't matter
