but really trials will do cause I NEED SOME to test out what makes you get banned for certain stuff and methods and a bunch of other stuff. so really a 1 year or month is a waste but trials wont be

 

also one of them is for my new gamer tag and is reserved until the 6th but the rest will be used on different accounts which will help us find out what will get you banned, specifically GS modding, my theory is that achievements like vidmasters will get you banned because they unlock something that is special and it is for online, also online achievments that would normaly be only online and other achiements that is perfectly possible to get offline. also modding them and then making them gold, not modding them while they r gold, a bunch of different test will be done, if one survives then ill use it for the next test i will post the results and the gamertags when i make them

You forgot the fact that one account is not banned instantly for one offense, it may very well come in waves. Also, this idea is bad because if there is any evidence of modding period, you will be banned. Really just seems like a poor attempt at a scam. Edited September 28, 2009 by TheEazyB

it does not come in waves and i know this because my friend got GS reset a month ago but i didn't but the second i get my last vidmaster it happens, so there must be a connection. ANNNDDD you dont get banned all you get is a GS reset

You not being reset does not detract from there being waves, it just means you weren't flagged to be banned. The thing about not getting banned, is really hit and miss. The TOS say you will be banned, it really boils down to who deals with you.

About Gamerscore corrections

A gamerscore correction occurs on a playerââ¬â¢s LIVE account when they gain achievements through avoiding game play and the use of external tools. LIVE is committed to keeping the service free of this type of behavior as it violates the LIVE Terms of Use. When abnormal achievement or gamerscore activity is found, LIVE modifies the gamerscore of players who meet specific and automated criteria.

 

A LIVE player who obtained their gamerscore in this abnormal way will

 

• Find their gamerscore reset to zero, and
• Be unable to regain all previously earned achievements, and
• Be labeled as a ââ¬Åcheaterââ¬Â for the community to view.

While players who have been identified by these criteria will start from a zero gamerscore, they will still be able to gain achievements for future games. In other words, we give them another chance to earn future achievements by earning them as other ââ¬Åfairââ¬Â players do. The original gamerscore correction will remain permanent without any way to appeal.

 

 

Questions and answers

Iââ¬â¢ve had my gamerscore corrected, is there any way to appeal the decision?There is no way to appeal a gamerscore correction. We only correct gamerscores for players who meet the criteria 100%. Your best choice is to show the community you wonââ¬â¢t do it again.

 

But it was my little brother/roommate/guest that did this using my gamertag. Can I appeal? No. As is outlined in the Terms of Use you are responsible for all activity on your account.

What should I do?Like the vast majority of Xbox LIVE members, if you earn achievements by playing through games like any other player, then you have nothing to worry about. Why donââ¬â¢t you just ban these gamertags?We believe in players reforming themselves, which is why gamerscore correction only applies to previously earned achievements. That web page is not written into the terms of use nor the code of conduct, you haven't agreed to it nor have you ever been required to read it. The terms of service however, HAVE been required, and clearly state

Logically speaking, GS modding is a modification and as such you may be banned. /checkmate

This is what I am addressing. Yes you can be banned for modding GS, like I said before it boils down to who deals with you. There is perfect justification for a ban. MS may decide to try a 'reform' program but in reality they can pull the plug anytime they want and ban you.

Because MS usually bans in waves once a year. Unknown v2, darkshallfall, anthony, and I all modded our gamerscore when the Halo 3 title update with new achievements came out. Unknown and I (I don't know about dark or anthony) got banned about the same time, but not immediately after modding our gamerscore.

Dark and Anthony both were banned. You getting it the 'very second' of the vidmaster has nothing to do with it, it's an achievement like any other one. All it means is that you were banned at that point in time. I already explained about the resets, MS may choose to do so or not. Your claim was that you will never be banned for the offense, which is untrue.

console ban does not allow you to play XBL, u can still connect to it thoe so yes if im testing GS reseting and stuff console ban wouldn't matter
