Power Brick or Xbox

Okay, so i flashed my xbox, and its been good for a week now. But when i woke up today i had RROD, but my xbox doesnt make a noise from the fan. It only makes a noise from the fan for half a second, and it stops, and i have RROD. But my power brick has a green light for half a second and it goes back to orange. So i called microsoft and they said for me to get a new power brick, buti dont want to buy a new one unless im positive that the power brick is that problem. So can someone help?
