Alright, well my comp is about 2 years old and I was thinking about getting a new one and i need suggestions.

 

I don't care about it being a desktop or laptop but i want something with a good gfx card because i play Halo 2 PC at all low settings, windowed mode (lowest settings, 800x600) with all possible tweaks (gamegain trial, gamebooster, gameboost) and I put the game at high cpu priority, hell i even close explorer and i still only get 17-25 fps. The current computer I have it a Compaq Preasiro V6000 (RP203UA#ABA). It has an nVidia GFG 6150 with 64mb of video ram (yes i know it sucks).

 

I'd like something that could at least play gta iv pc at low to medium settings at high resolution with small screen (at least nvidia 8000+ with at least 256mb ram). Price $900 bucks at the most, anything lower would be even better. Also at fast cpu, 2.0ghz or more. RAM over 1gb (my current comp has vista and only 1gb ram), and any other good things to come with it too.

 

I saw a very good Toshiba with 4gb ram, nvidia 9600 w/512mb ram, 17inch screen, for just $898 at wal-mart which seemed to be perfect for me.

I customized it with all default settings except for a full backlit keyboard. I might even try the 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 130M. But im putting my head to high. My house just sold and my parents are now able to get a lot of relief on their finances. My parents make around 100 thousand a year and they've been paying off two mortages, but i guess they might be able to get a new one. My dad needs a new work comp and he actually really likes desktop pcs so i dunno, maybe in a month or two. Just today my dad yelled at me thinking that i did some shit to his comp, but i told him that his comp just sucked in general cause it always is slow like that. Yes you probably feel bad for me cause of shitty gfx card. I think im actually gonna record my comp with my vid camera showing how sucky halo 2 is. I cant even run it in full screen it sucks so much.

 

Anyone actually have any good ideas on desktop comps.
