SmokiestGrunl Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 sorry here it is http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/8489/80584826.png Its so small I can't even make it out. Without seeing the picture I suggest you do that following: Uninstall - Codec and FFDshowReinstall - Codec and FFDshowTry - using a different movie/music to see if it is the file that is corrupt and use a different player
saheton Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 now, i assume your trying to play an MPEG-4 video if your having trouble with FFDshow. now, i agree with smokie, i had problems and all i needed to do was to d/l FFDshow and media player classic (pretty sure it comes with the codec). if you play your fiels in MPC you shouldnt have any trouble.
saheton Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 are you sure your using MPC... ive been using it for a while and ive never encountered this. is it the computer or explorer.exe thats crashing, there the only similar problems i can find on google.
Random1225 Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Ok, so you need the codec to watch a video and it crashes when ffdshow is also installed? Does the codec work when ffdshow is uninstalled?
matty0 Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 this is easy mate, uninstall ffdshow compleatly then download the latest k-lite codec pack (link HERE) then restart ur pc and itl work. im 99.99% sure thatl fix it. the kl codec pack can work almost any media, its amazing what it can do rly
