Quinn Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 I need help in determining which PSP model I want to get, Please reply quick!
miinaturvat Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) Depends what you want to do with it. If you want to pay for games and do no homebrew, buy the latest model. If you like playing illegal games and some homebrew (no 1.5 kernel yet (to my knowledge, but I knew this a few months ago so things may havge changed)) and you care more about what it looks like and weigs, get a PSP slim. If you want a PSP to program and play homebrew and illegal SONY game copies, but the PSP phat (PSP 1000) (the origional one). I have this one and, in my opinion, is the best to have. Get a decent size memory stick, too. Like 4GB. Not 8GB, because they don't work too well with some custom firmwares. Edited May 29, 2009 by miinaturvat

subs_55 Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 i very strongly recomend to not get the psp 3000. they have scan lines on the screen, and it just looks horrible. look into the scan lines on the screen, just google it.
Quinn Posted May 30, 2009 Author Report Posted May 30, 2009 So I should get the 1000 I guess? I've read a lot of reviews and they all say that the slim is the best to get, and I can run downloaded games on it right? I don't want to make any homebrew, so meh idk
miinaturvat Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 If you're not that into homebrew, get the slim.
subs_55 Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 as far as i know you can hack all versions of the psp. i would go for the slim but aslong as it isnt the 3000 as i said before. well i guess its up to you.
Korupt Data Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 I say just go for the fatty... pros (you can mod on it/its cheaper) cons (its fat) lol
jmdalmighty Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 I say just go for the fatty... pros (you can mod on it/its cheaper) cons (its fat) lol i have the fatty and i have had all the oter modles i think the fatty is the bes beacuse its very easy to mod it can do everything the other models can do its cheper and trouthly the others feel to glosy and fake/toys
Quinn Posted May 30, 2009 Author Report Posted May 30, 2009 Meh they all seem about the same price, I may be getting one in exchange for fixing his xbox (if he can find it, he says he may have thrown it out), then modding it.
miinaturvat Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 No you shouldn't! They feel horrible go with the origional fat ones
fastmouth808 Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 No you shouldn't! They feel horrible go with the origional fat ones yep, those are harder to break, more moving parts= more things that break 1
HAWKzer0 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 go with the phat its the best i made it look like the old 360 dashboard halo 3 statusif u need help modding it just give me a shoutout.
miinaturvat Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 go with the phat its the best i made it look like the old 360 dashboard halo 3 status you mean you downloaded a free custom theme for the PSP. It's not that difficult And when you do decide to buy one, make sure you have a way of getting a pandora battery so you can downgrade it. yep, those are harder to break, more moving parts= more things that break There are no extra moving parts; it's just slimmer and weighs less. If anything, there are less moving parts
