Movie ratings

 

should movies get a higher rating because of violence or because of nudity?

 

what do you think the effects would be on kids today if they seen a bunch of guys getting mowed down or kids seeing naked women?

 

do you think it could change violence in kids?

 

(excluding the more educated computer kids that can watch it regardless, this is for the ones who dont know how)

I think the rules are way to slack, if they cant watch it on a dvd or at a theater they can have instant access to it online.... ratings dont matter anymore. Edited May 21, 2009 by Korupt Data

I think overly dramaticizing the naked women or slaughtering people for no reason will have an effect on kids.

But showing it in context makes sence if you are trying to introduce your kids to what the real world is about.

 

The problem with that is the simple fact that kids don't need to be influenced by what they see in movies and taking them to see a movie that has naked women and people being slaughtered ruins the innocence of the child.

 

I believe that movies showing naked women and people dieing in the right context are okay, but these gore/slasher films take it too far.

well at least too far for children.

 

I love the slasher films, but i believe children shouldn't watch them. It puts false sense of insecurity in their lives.

 

Childrens imagination can make them have nightmares as it is and make them come wake you up in the middle of the night.

Wtf is the point in putting them in front of a movie that can introduce new and sadistic ways of scaring the sh!t out of the kid and adding to the nightmares at night.

 

Thus my point being:

Taking children to scary slasher films w/ naken b!tches and people getting their eyes ripped out w/ masking tape makes parents not sleep at night bc they are having to deal with their scaredy ass kid.

Nudity. All types of kids that are very young see cursing and killing. But nudity is the issue.

 

One day when I was over a family reunion, it was very quiet, we were all sitting down. My aunt's little kid about 5 years old just burst out and said "I LIKE P*SSY!" Everyone instantly stared at him and I bursted out laughing.... Blame the nude movies.

I think the whole SAW series that little 12 year old kids see is the problem. That is a flat out killing movie, where you see the deaths. Its cruel for little kids to see that, yet they do then forever there obsessed with resident evil and junk.

 

You can't really enforce ratings though until your computer reads your biological self and confirms your age via wireless radiation test.

13 year olds arent squeaky kids... Most 13 year olds voice are medium or deep.... My naphew is 13 and I've met all of his friends.. No squeaky voices. You guys are thinking of 11 and under year olds.

Violence - I don't think that if a kid see's someone get shot he/she will think "Well golly gee that looks like fun" then go out and shoot someone.

 

Unless they were already ****** up in the head,then the parents should have known something was wrong when little Timmy killed the neighborhood cat.

 

Hell,I saw my first gory messy movie when I was friken 7,I'm fine I'm not killing anyone.

some people let things affect them a whole lot more than others. alot of kids are very easyily swayed by seeing somthing on tv. same with adults. why do you think that tv ads that sell junk are so popular. people are easily swayed by stuff like that. the general public feeds off of stuff like that.

 

i dont think nudity is as big of issue as the violence. yes it could get ridiculous with kids yelling "i love *****" but would you rather them pull a gun on you?
