This debate is about math.

I had to post this because Slip thinks that BEDMAS stays true in algebra, and the rest of the shoutbox thinks he is wrong. The order of operations is reversed in algebra (I know this cause I'm doing it in math class right now).

Which is n=.833333333

Also Multiplication goes before Division(not that it matters but I like it that way!)

This is the norm for order of operations. Technically, if you included brackets [] and parentheses () it would be PBEMDAS since brackets are outside of parentheses. I'm pretty good at math, trust me lol.

For instance, in the United States, the acronym PEMDAS (for Parentheses, Exponentiation, Multiplication/Division, Addition/Subtraction) is used, sometimes expressed as the sentence "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally" or one of many other variations. In other English speaking countries, Parentheses may be called Brackets, and Exponentiation may be called Indices, Powers or Orders. Also, as Multiplication and Division are of equal precedence, M and D may be interchanged; and Of (see example 3, above) is equivalent to Multiplication. With respect to the latter operators, it is usually best to simply work from left to right. This also applies to Addition and Subtraction on most occasions. Thus, we also have BEDMAS, BIDMAS, BIMDAS, BIODMAS, BODMAS, BOMDAS and BPODMAS.

The debate idea sounded good, we get into things that don't have anything to do with the original post. It started at math equations, now it is grammar? When debating, the main thing you are taught to do is to not veer too off topic -.-
