Quinn Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 To start this off, I'm not a noob, but I made a mistake. I was happily ftping stuff to my xbox when bam!, I accidentaly wrote over my dashboard. Huh, stupid me, I left my xbox unplugged overnight. So now I have error 16. I read how to fix it but I can't do etheir of the two options. Can someone please help me out?
iBotPeaches Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 Can you boot games?Do you still have your game exploit on the harddrive? Can you use HDM1.9?
Quinn Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 I can't boot games, I doubt that I still have the savegame exploit on the harddrive.
iBotPeaches Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Check if you have the exploit. THats your last hope, otherwise were using HDM
nixor Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 Hi, I'm in a similar situation, however I still have my hard drive contents intact (including Splinter Cell save game). I did have a soft-mod. Unfortunately, my xboxdash.xbe got renamed and then I went from receiving Error Code 13 to Error Code 16 after leaving the XBox unplugged. I can't boot any discs. Any help appreciated - such a simple mistake has cost me an Xbox and given me a brick
iBotPeaches Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 OKay, lets see. What happens when you boot xbox with no disc in drive? With the drive open?Normally turn it on? Explain what error codes, I want to get an idea of which type of softmod error you have. Cause some require different steps.
Quinn Posted February 23, 2008 Author Report Posted February 23, 2008 Lets close this forum and solve stuff like this in the more progressed one, Poll: Is It Possible?

Hi guys, thanks for taking notice of my post - I have actually managed to solve the situation! I used a very handy program called Xplorer360 and I would recommend anyone with error codes like 13, 16 and 21 to use this program to fix your Xbox1 back to normal! I did have to buy torx screwdrivers but they were well worth it (and I learned a thing or two about PC hardware). Cheers!
