Broken Steel, which was slated to come out in March and will continue the main story and lift the level cap, is now due out in April. This was confirmed to GameSpot by Pete Hines, VP of Marketing for Bethesda.

-IGN

In this DLC pack, the player will join the ranks of the

Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. It is confirmed that the player character will still be the Lone Wanderer, even if the "sacrifice" option was taken at the end of Take it Back!.

In addition to amending the main quest to let players continue their adventures after the end of the main quest and raising the

level cap to 30, Broken Steel's quest line is announced to be of the same length as the ones of Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt[2].

The third DLC for Fallout 3 will add new enemies including high level ghouls, super mutants and Enclave soldiers. These will be equipped with new armor and weaponry which the player can acquire. Broken Steel will also add several new

perks to cover the additional 10 levels as well as new encounters[2].

Todd Howard released on January 30th that Broken Steel will have six achievements worth 150 points.

The Xbox Live Team states: 'In Broken Steel you must hunt down Enclave supporters in the Capital Wasteland.'

Weapons

The Heavy Incinerator

Apparently the Incinerator works like a kind of mortar, lobbing fire over its target in lazy arcs

The Tesla Cannon

The Tesla Cannon fires extremely powerful blasts of electricity, apparently capable of knocking aircraft out of the sky with one shot, balanced by a long reload time It is likened to Quakes Railgun ,vaporizing enemies in a puff of smoke on contact

The Tri-Beam Laser Rifle

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/8/84/Tri-Beam_Laser_3_(G4).jpg

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/e/ea/Tri-Beam_Laser_4_(G4).jpg

The Tri-Beam Laser Rifle is an extremely powerful ranged laser shotgun

The Tri-Beam Laser Rifle is a ranged laser rifle shotgun with a possible knockback effect.

It could be considered a more powerful and accurate version of the Metal Blaster. Unlike the Metal Blaster however, each shot depletes 3 rounds of ammunition, allowing for 8 shots before the MF Cell is emptied.

The weapon has the appearance of a "sawed-off" laser rifle, missing the tube on the bottom length of the barrel and having a new emitter aperture and attached wires. It also has a black-green, darker tone than the standard laser rifle. I have'nt Found this gun yet,I do have the Metal Blaster though.

Callahan's Magnum

  • Callahan's Magnum is a unique Scoped .44 Magnum that surpasses the Black Hawk (the other unique Scoped .44 Magnum) in damage, damage per second and AP Cost.
  • Depending on equipment and perks, the weapon can fire 1-2 more shots in V.A.T.S than the Blackhawk.

The magnum is found in a safe within the ruins of the Citadel if you choose to destroy it while onboard the Enclave mobile base during the Who Dares Wins quest. If the Citadel is destroyed enter the remnants and in a hidden enclosed office is the Magnum.

The Violator

It got cut, here is a little info on what it might have been.

The Discharge Hammer is a weapon from Broken Steel that is listed in the G.E.C.K., but never used in game. It's a Super Sledge that does increased damage to robots.

Previews of Broken Steel mentioned Super Mutant Overlords using a weapon called The Violator that was never added to the released version. It's possible the Discharge Hammer was originally that weapon

Presion Gatlin Lazer

This Gatling Laser can be found during Who Dares Wins, the final quest in Broken Steel's main plot line, where you must assault the Enclave controlled Adams Air Force Base. When you get into the mobile platform search for the Armory (not the one on the level you first enter), there are two entrances: One leads through the Mainframe and the other through the main deck where the Deathclaws are stored. Near the entrance from the main deck you'll see an Enclave soldier, the Armory Master, wearing Tesla Armor and a special Recon Helmet called a Composite Recon Helmet. This soldier will be carrying the Precision Gatling Laser.

The Presidential Metro Line is a network of tunnels which will be added to Fallout 3 It connects the Capitol Wastland to the Adams Air Force base and is watched over by Margot The entrance can be found in the tunnels beneath the destroyed White House so go ahead and located the white house so you can fast travel there when the time comes.

Olney Powerworks

Most likely it is an old power plant in the vicinity of (hence the name) defended by the Enclave forces where you have to go in order to find components for the Telsa Cannon in the middle of a Tesla Coil (Added a pic at the bottom)

It is possible to get all three karma achievements/trophies for each level in a single playthrough of the game, by saving the game just before you gain the level (at levels 7, 13, 19, and 20). Use one of the strategies below to change your character's alignment and level up, then reload the original save game. The achievement/trophy will stay on your account.

  • An easy way to do this is continue the game as an evil person save at levels 7, 13, 19 (has to be near leveling up) and then when you re-load you just keep donating caps to the church in the game until desired karma level (If you don't have enough caps to raise your karma enough just sell all your stuff since it's not your main character). Then do anything to level up (for 12 and 18 just use the Here and Now perk to instantly raise your level when you reach 13 or 19). You can use the caps method to elevate your karma and simply execute one high exp rivet city guard, like the one standing out front to push yourself over the leveling line.
  • If your karma is Good (or very good) and you're close to a level for the achievement, fast travel to Megaton and start a killing spree. Pick off Stockholm with the Sniper Rifle from behind the pile of rocks on your left as you face the gate. As soon as he is down,Lucas Simms and Deputy Steel will come through the gate.(Deputy Weld will be outside as usual) .You should be able to get the drop on Simms and pop him with the rifle before he can draw his weapon, leaving only the two droids to deal with. Go inside the gate and kill only as many citizens as necessary to drop your karma to neutral, then save the game, run out of town

There are new characters, called Rosa, and get ready for this water begger OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rosa is giving water to that guy,he deed now the water was supposed to be blessed or some crap by a guy in springfield.

Rosa is a black girl with sort hair and wheres a wasteland settler outfit.

Now he making me drink the death water I don't wanna.

Just gave me 10 rads

The purified water in the basin is killing the mirlurks,so says a BoS guy.

You can either use speech to stop w/e his name is something jack Smiling I think, but if you do they kill the old lady at whillems wharf.

The feral Ghoul Reavers give you 6 rads when you get hit by them, theres like radiation fire coming off the pretty cool.

New encounters

  • Jury Street Metro Talon Company engaging a group of raiders. There are also raiders on roof of new building protecting stolen Aqua Pura Barrels.
  • Encounter west of Tenpenny Tower involving a water caravan approaching a non-hostile Raider disguised as a wastelander dying of thirst. When the caravan is close enough, the Raider becomes hostile, taking out a missile launcher and the caravan is ambushed by 4 more Raiders. The Brotherhood Knight kills all the raiders, but the merchant may die.
  • West of the Arlington Library, there is a new building in front of the Talon Company outpost. In the middle of an alley way, there is an abandoned Aqua Cura barrel. Upon approaching the barrel, Talon Company mercenaries ambush you.
  • Water caravans are seen traveling from Project Purity to Rivet City and vise-versa. The unnamed NPCs at Project Purety and Rivet City will respawn if killed by Super Mutants or the Enclave. Unfortunately, enemies will respawn as well.
  • Encounter a little north of Big Town involving 4 slavers ambushing water caravan. Slavers are non hostile towards the player.
  • Ever Green Mills now has empty Aqua Pura crates in the front of the entrance with a sign that says "Free Water." There are several raiders ready for an ambush on the cliff above.
  • In front of Megaton a group of residents are trying to take the rest of a water shipment from a caravan bound for Big Town. If left alone, the Megaton residents will pull guns and be destroyed in short order by the Brothers of Steel. As will Stockholm,Deputy Weld, and any other NPC in front of Megaton. A successful speech challenge will avoid the bloodshed and provide Good Karma.
  • On the street north-northeast of the Nuka Cola Plant there is a crate full of Aqua Pura barrels being fought over by Talon Company and a group of raiders.
  • Between Keelans Bed & Breakfast and VALP-58 Power Station three non-hostile, but not welcoming, female wastelanders wait around a small shack. On a table inside the shack is a Holotape labeled "Wastelander Holotape #1." This holotape details their roll in ambushing caravans.
  • Talon Company camp outside the Capitol Building in Seward Suare with 1 or more Talon Company mercenary depending upon the PCs level and a Holotape Talon Company Merc Log #1.
  • On the end of the catwalk in front of the Jefferson Memorial heading towards Rivet City the player may find a Brotherhood Initiate burning mirelurk corpses. If spoken to, the Initiate will inform the player that all of the mirelurks in the basin are suddenly dying and he has been given the task of burning the 'floaters'. This shows up regardless if the player has or hasn't decided to contaminate the water supply with the Enclave FEV canister during Take it back!. This only applies to the mirelurks in the tide pool.

I'll add more as I get further into the DLC.

I have most of that but there is some not there thanks.

yeah, I know, but I just saw some missing info so I just copied the entire thing, and here's brand new info-

From Gamespy

I've played a ton of Fallout 3 since its release last year (I'm pretty sure the scientific term is actually a "shitload"), both the main game and each of its DLC packs. While Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt were both well-received by critics and fans alike, many Fallout 3 fanatics have been waiting for the release of Fallout 3: Broken Steel to finish the main game's storyline and take a whack at the rest of the DLC. This is largely due to the fact that Broken Steel will remove not only the game's level cap, but also get rid of the current endgame.

Until this week that was all I really knew about this third and possibly final DLC pack, which is currently slated for a May 5th release on the Xbox 360 and PC. But yesterday I attended Bethesda's press event in London, where journalists from around the world were finally given a first look at Broken Steel. While to the uninitiated it might just look like more Fallout 3, there were a number of things that immediately stood out to yours truly.

Home Sweet Home

While The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage both took place outside of the Capital Wasteland, the entirety of Broken Steel unfolds in various locales around the world map. After waking up in The Citadel nearly two weeks after the events that originally marked the end of the game (all we'll say about that is that you can now send some companions into the reactor instead of doing it yourself), you'll be able to head right out and return to doing whatever it was your character did in his or her spare time, be it completing side missions or just terrorizing the local populace of ghouls and raiders.

If you visit the location of Project Purity, you'll now notice clean water flowing from the pipes, and a quick trip inside will prove that, despite the fact that you've changed the future of the region, things still aren't perfect. You'll be able to take some side missions that involve actually getting said water to the denizens of the Wasteland, but this isn't the main quest of Broken Steel.

No, the main quest revolves around the ever-escalating war between The Enclave and the Brotherhood of Steel, a struggle that the Brotherhood wants to end decisively. You'll be tasked with infiltrating an electrical substation of some type, where you'll need to find a tesla coil to build a new super-weapon called a Tesla Cannon. The Brotherhood believes that this is the key to victory, and finding it will allow you to launch into the second part of the quest: finding the last Enclave stronghold.

It turns out that said stronghold is actually [possible spoiler alert] in the remains of Adams Air Force base, a new location in the existing world (it's located in the southwest corner of the map). The base offers up some of the toughest combat scenarios I've seen in my entire run of Fallout 3.

More good news: Beating Broken Steel still won't end the game. You bitched and moaned, Bethesda listened!

Now With 30% More Evil

One of the first things I noticed about Broken Steel is the fact that it will feature a bunch of new enemies, provided your character is above level 18. The Feral Ghoul Reavers are similar to their creepy cousins, but they pack quite a bit more punch, tossing grenades with reckless abandon, safe in the knowledge that they're covered with heavy body armor. Speaking of armor, the new Enclave Hellfire Troopers that you'll encounter in the military base are wearing some stylish new gear, as well as sporting a badass new weapon that we'll talk about later. Finally there are the new Supermutant Overlords, which I unfortunately didn't get to see. I only pray they're tougher than the Supermutant Behemoths that I was taking out with ease by the end of the main game. Those guys were wusses.

Packin' Heat

In each of the DLC packs players have gotten to play around with some new weaponry. That's again the case here, but nothing I've seen so far could prepare me for the awesome might of the Tesla Cannon. This heavy weapon looks like a missile launcher at first glance, but instead of a projectile it fires bolts of electricity that can decimate even the game's toughest enemies with a single shot. Seriously, this bad boy can even blow a Vertibird out of the sky before it can drop off Enclave troops. Simply awesome. There's also a Hellfire weapon that fires flame-based projectiles, but I was too busy drooling over the Tesla Cannon to even bother checking out that one.

http://xbox360media.gamespy.com/xbox360/image/article/974/974716/fallout-3-broken-steel-20090421010534529_640w.jpg

You can take an optional summer job with the Enclave and hose off their ships.

Awwww, Wookit the Mangy Wittle Puppy!

As you'll finally be able to progress past the current cap at level 20 to level 30, the folks at Bethesda were kind enough to add some new Perks for players to enjoy. Unfortunately, VP of Marketing Pete Hines only mentioned one during his presentation, but it sounds like a great one. If you've got Dogmeat in your party, you'll be able to activate the Puppies! perk, which will "reincarnate" your canine companion as a puppy if he perishes in battle. We didn't get to see this happen, but we were told that Dogmeat Jr. (who I'm sure is adorable) will meet you at a certain location and will continue to come back from the dead over and over again.

Personally I'm hoping there's also a Fawkes-based perk that allows the brainy Brute to read aloud to you as you traverse the Wasteland.

It's a Long Way to the Top...

For most Fallout 3 fans the new level cap will really be Broken Steel's selling point. As I mentioned, you'll now be able to go all the way up to level 30, picking up new perks along the way. After the DLC was announced, a lot of people didn't even bother finishing the game once they hit level 20, and it looks like they may have had the right idea. You're going to need whatever experience points you can get, as the developers have made it very difficult to max out your character, as the points you need to level up increase dramatically as you get closer to 30. Hines didn't mention a specific amount of time except to say, "It'll take a long time." I'm hopeful that one of the new achievements (yes, Broken Steel will have them, too) revolves around hitting level 30 with good, evil, and neutral alignments. I'm going to win the race to be the first to get that one!

Well folks, I hope this helps you prepare for Fallout 3: Broken Steel, and has possibly even convinced you to start a new game over from scratch after it's released. As someone who basically flushed thousands of experience points down the toilet after hitting level 20, I'm certainly considering it. Level 30, here I come!

(I even took the time to make the original links that were clickable, clickable. and the images are too!)
