Temporary 3-Red Ring of Death

I got the red ring of death (3 quadrants) and I was worried sick so I waited five minutes and it worked. I moved my xbox up-right and now its not happening. It wasn't the AV Cables because that is the 4-red ring of death.

 

So was it bad??

3 red rings is some hardware problem. Most likely video card melting, but since you moved it, it will last awhile longer since the arrangement and gravity changed then it will perma red ring. And then I'm betting E 74 will be your error code.

I had a temporary 3 red rings a while back. All I had to do was turn it off and back on. The really weird part was I could've sworn I had unplugged my 360 yet it had enough electricity to make the lights glow.

I got error E74 and had to send it back to Microsoft and I had to wait for three months.

 

Isnt there a new return policy for the red ring of death?

nope. I only waited 1 week.

Ive had the fake rrod a couple times never killed my system although =/ you might be fine or you may get the full blown rings...

Same thing happened to my old 360. It will later get the E 74 error. Send it in and you'll get a new one free.

Mine is still fine to this day O___o and it happened about 2 months ago..
