yungbol Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 (edited) Ok, I have been looking into a few saves here and there and there is a mean checksum on the file which we are bound to find sooner or later. If anyone wants to post research on anything they find, it will help. Also, can anyone donate any saves if they have the game? If you want to take part in the research post here and we will gather information. You input 1 simple piece you get in about box on an app. I will give as much credit as possible to everyone who helps. When you post a save be sure to include the information (weapons, ammo, items, etc.) It will help dearly. Here is a starting save of mines: savedata.rar Example: 0xD467 is my ammo (1A) I had 10 bullets at the time. (I did this a while and this might not be the right offset, but I will check again after I eat dinner) If you notice in the 0xD000 block of data, at the 0x06 and 0x07 of every 5 lines contains a 01 then a random byte. The resident evil 5 ultimate save? That's the one I had uploaded, those photo and save are originally uploaded by me. The original maker (friend of mine) is not on any of the game save site, he is a very quiet guy.

When I got the orignal modded save, it was 15min to beat the game (first round), so I finished it before I upload it, so everyone can start a new game staight away. Maybe that's why it look so legit
