Random1225 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Ok, I got my new computer and I was using a wireless connection for a while and I noticed that my other computer had a Mbps through a Ethernet cable that was twice as high as my wireless. I decided to plug my new PC into the router. Now here's the problem. It says I am connected, but I can't connect to the internet. I made sure it was enabled, but I still get the error. Anyone know what I need to do?
SmokiestGrunl Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Make sure your network drivers are up-to-date. Could be faulty network card. Try the same cord in a computer that you know works. BTW what is the hardware platform and OS?
iKhaosmaster Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Mines the other way around. It says I'm not connected but I am. lol
subs_55 Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 sounds like a router problem or drivers. update the drivers and unplug the router for awhile, then reconnect. if that doesn't help it is proboly the network cards problem (in that case update those drivers) and if not that then id blame the router lul.
Random1225 Posted March 6, 2009 Author Report Posted March 6, 2009 thanks for the feedback and I figured out it was a problem with my drivers just about an hour ago.
