xX Epsilon Xx Posted February 26, 2009 Author Report Posted February 26, 2009 Well when you say, dashboard changs, do you mean Blades and NXE, or like EvoX (but some 360 type)
iBotPeaches Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 I have no clue, I really don't have any room to discuss it since I don't own one. I just know this is what people get to help dump and analyze their NAND.
gabe_k Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 You need a 360 with a base kernel of 1888, which means around launch. The downgrading to the dashes means to the exploitable dashes so you can use the King Kong exploit to run unsigned code.

iBotPeaches Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 so wait that means even if you updated your launch xbox you can downgrade it and run the hack? I think thats where the Infectus comes in, and lets you downgrade through some nasty hack.

xX Epsilon Xx Posted February 27, 2009 Author Report Posted February 27, 2009 Wait, does that mean I can make modded h3 maps, and a hacked XeX on a disc and burn it to DvD-RW, with flashed xbox and actually play it?
iBotPeaches Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Nope. I know that for a fact, otherwise retail boxes could mod. It just lets you downgrade dashes to run the exploits that were able to be ran on those old versions.
gabe_k Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 You can't run xexs with the exploit, the code runs in "HyperVisor" mode, which basically means it runs without any of the limitations OR benefits of the HyperVisor, meaning you can't run xexs.

Decatur Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 wait, I thought before you got an infectus, you had to have an offline box (haven't touch xbl) for AT LEAST 18 months?
