Dark Slipstream Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 In the programs section, I posted a post format, follow it. It's not hard, I just ended up fixing about 20 threads to it, it's extremely neat. So far the only person who follows it to almost EXACT is xDansomee, after that comes khaos.

I don't use your format because I like my own format. Mine is neat and almost the same as yours.
Dan Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Thanks The reason my post format isn't the same as yours is because I think that mine is better I have a thing that makes me make everything neat lol, I can't help it :S
iKhaosmaster Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Look at all my posts now. I think all of them are perfect.
iBotPeaches Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Yeah, now you guys know how I feel. We all have our one "favorite" post type (I mean staff) Staff can use their own favorite. Members please try and follow to keep things neat.

yungbol Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Yeah, now you guys know how I feel. We all have our one "favorite" post type (I mean staff) Staff can use their own favorite. Members please try and follow to keep things neat. If a member's post is neater or neat as a staff format, it should be aloud. I mean as long as you provide the information needed in a 'orderly' way, it should be ok. I mean staff is supposed to set the trends here I see some staff post that look like complete trash to be honest. Just look around, some members post better, but since their name is green they can't post their own 'neater' way, they have to follow maybe a 'sloppier' staff format. Now Dark, I am not saying your format is sloppy, but I am just proving a point that everyone has their preferences.
Dan Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) Use this format.. Won't post correctly for some reason, so here it is: layout.txt Edited February 17, 2009 by xDansomee
Korupt Data Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 I think that as long as the post format follows Slips loosely (has big title, images and a description)it should be fine.
iBotPeaches Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Yeah re-read my reply. I said you can do it as long as its neat.I just hate topics of try my modk thxdL link Its absolute crap. As long as theres images, bigger header for title then its pretty neat.
gruntmods Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Halosource post generator works great at this kinda thing.
iBotPeaches Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 All boards parse BBCODE differently, since its not like a global language. size=7 on IPB is equal to size=150 on phpbb and size="5" is on SMF. There all different, so its too hard to create a BBCODE generator unless you make it specifically for one site (which smokiest did), but that got outdated when we went from phpBB3 to IPB2.
Dark Slipstream Posted February 18, 2009 Author Report Posted February 18, 2009 I can create a program for post generators using vb.net I'm not excellent in html, lol.
iBotPeaches Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 That was my 2nd app in VB. So don't lol. I'm making it for the new bbcode engine in IPB 3, so don't make it. I need to somehow make it auto update the main textbox every time they enter text, or just update every 5 seconds or just update when they click make post.
Decatur Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 I copy and paste your format and just fill in the blanks, I even add the space you didn't fix between 'this' and 'item' in your waiver. so yeah, dont be mean.
