Turn it on, put it in a hot cupboard, and surround it with clothing, towles etc.

I actually want to break mine and it refuses to.

I put it in my drawer, put it IN 5 pairs of sweat pants, a thermal, and tightly packed the drawer with clothes, no disc in the tray and nothing

I put it in for 1 hour sessions, take it out for about a half hour, and stick it back in.

It's currently on it's third session, any suggestions, should I put a game in the disc drive?

Well make sure that when you do that, leave it for like an hour, and then turn it off, but leave it wrapped in all of it, and let it do a "Hot-Cool Down" for about an hour or so. If you really want to break it quickly do this,

Turn it on, do the "Uber Overheat" as you described and then leave it wrapped until the next time you do the session. It should break within a week or so. And then you could always just take my advice and flick it ^_^

Dude M$ is so ironic.

I've kicked this thing, I've slammed it, I've bounced off my bed onto hard wooden floors and still runs.

I want this thing dead.

EDIT: Heres my setup, I don't see how this survives.

My 360 is in a virtual oven.

It has been in for 6 hour shifts, this is the thing people pray for.

HOw long should this take?

EDIT: it gets so hot that it shuts it self off.

Takes roughly 30-50 minutes

Is that normal?

WHen that happens I just let it cool off for an hour then turn it on for another sesion

Put it where you normally play it. Pop in Halo 3 Campaign and start the biggest level of them all, I think Halo. Then let it sit. That uses the most resources of the console, and make sure your on live too. Leave that for however long it takes without towels or anything and it will RROD.

This is bloody ridiculous. Now it has the three red rings AGAIN. This is the third time that I'll be sending it in. I yelled at India for about an hour demanding a non-refurbished brand new 360. Damn you microsoft. Damn you.

Alright so here's my dilemma. I sent it in all nice and well, so I'm just waiting for it to get back. But I want to prevent this from happening again, because its bloody annoying to go through this. So I wanted to see if anyone had a solution that didn't require me opening my xbox (I will when my warranty is up). Also, I want to keep my xbox horizontal not vertical, if that has to do with anything. Another thing, if you point me to a fan, can you tell me if it's loud? I really dont want to her "WURRRRRRRR" when playing Halo 3, more than I already do from the xbox reading the disk. Much love to whoever helps.
