Ok, So my Oblivion disk has been busted for longer than I have had my Xbox live (about 9 months) and I'm royally pissed about it. My friends dad had it for a while but never got around to fixing it. I'm thinking of taking it to Blockbuster to have professionally repaired, but I was wondering if anyone had any proven methods of fixing disks.

If you were wondering the damage is from my little cousins (the oldest being about 6 at the time) playing with plastic cars on it. Aka it has a lot of little scratches on it.

Ideas?

like Axe Dry? What do you do?

Yeah, just spray the disk a few times from like 6" away, then leave it to dry, it should work.

EDIT: No not dry, thats anti-perspirant. Just normal deodorant.

like anti persperant stick or spray?

I have oldspice stick cause I don't like spray or gel, doesn't do the trick and I dun like wet pits.

Spray, stick would just mess the disk up lol.

jay, I think I have an axe bullet in the car.

Just spray, let it chill, then wipe itoff like 10 minutes later?

Yep, no guarentee that it will work...

It could just ruin your disk, it sometimes works, then other times it will just break your disk.

I've got Merlin's, now that I have applied it, It now works until the main loading screen, which is an 100% improvement.

I brought my disk into Blockbuster after no other at home methods were successful. I brought it in, and picked it up about 1hr 15 mins later and it looked and worked as good as new. It only cost me $4.50 (Canadian) after taxes. So great deal on that :D
