So im currently switching rooms and the room im putting my xbox cant connect any internet cables. So i have my laptop that im currently using that his windows vista on it and its wireless. Since i dont have that 100 dollar wifi crap for my 360, i need to no how to connect a internet cord from my laptop to my 360 and be able to have my 360 go online

Ok so your laptop has a Ethernet port correct? if so just plug a Ethernet cable into it and plug the other end into your 360

 

Now on your computer go to your control panel, and open the network and sharing center then mange network connections.

 

Now once you see your internet connection (the one your on) right click on it and select properties

 

Now go to the sharing tab and click the box where it says share this computers internet connection.

 

and it should work.

What i do

 

1. Connect them through ethernet

2. Open network connections

3. Bridge the connections of the wireless and the xbox.

 

works for me, should work for you
