How to completely remove lag (Jumpy Picture) from your PC games!

 

Lets Get Started;

 

Step 1.

 

Press 'Start' look for 'My Computer' right click it and select properties, select the advanced tab under 'Performance' select 'Settings' once again

select 'Advanced'

You should have this:

 

 

Now at the bottom you see 'Virtual Memory' this is space allocated by your system as 'Backup' memory in the event your ' ram becomes full ' it will access this.

Anyway, Select 'Change'

You are given this:

 

 

'Paging file size for selected drive' is the bit we are interested in, you should all ready have your c:/ drive selected if you dont choose it now from the above

menu, for this drive you will have a maximum size in MB take note of this what we want to do is make sure we have less than the maximum Generally the rule is 1.5x the current minimum mine was already 1.5x so i chose to take it up until around 1000 below the maximum, once done select 'Set'

 

Now in addition; if you want to increase the amount of 'Ram' you can have after doing your C:/ drive select for instance a Flash Drive or spare Hard Drive

as you can see from the image from my spare hard drive i allocated 4000MB 4Gb of Ram i also chose a small percentage from my flash drive. Note: if when you select a drive the maximum size box is empty just make sure you have it the same as you choose in the minimum box.

 

 

Step 2.

 

Ok now your going to have to download an application, there may be other ways but this is easiest for me,

 

Application Name : GameGain

Use: Improve Speed and FRAPS (FPS/Frames Per Second)

Download: Here

 

Once installed you should have something like this:

 

 

Select your operating system and your Processor if you dont know what processor you have once again go to 'Start' right click 'My Computer' and towards

the bottom you will see your computers technical details.

(If you are using the trial of the application be sure to not move the Speed Bar as you will then be prompted to go to their site)

Lastly Click 'GO' Note: It can take sometime depending on your computer so just relax take a piss get a drink and come back and finish up with the app.

 

 

 

In Conclusion:

 

 

This tutorial was written by ME and all knowledge applied was my ME with my own research

 

Remember this is not guaranteed to remove ALL lag, it has worked perfectly for me with absolute 0 for me.

Step 1.

 

Open up your game, Minimize it so you are back onto your desktop if you dont know how try use the windows logo key ( The flag shaped Microsoft logo )

 

Step 2.

 

Hold Ctrl+Alt+Delete until task manager appears if you cant do that try right clicking and selecting task manager.

 

Step 3.

 

Select the 'Processes' Tab and look for the exe of your game, for example 'Halo CE' = haloce.exe // Right click it and go down to 'Priority' and select 'HIGH'

Click ok and resume your game you should now have a much better play rate, what this did was tell your computer to work on giving the game what resources it needs before other items allowing it to run smoothly, (This will not damage your computer or applications)
