  1. Yes, there may not seem to be a relationship, or a visible trend. But, I do not have to get a positive result. I am testing my Null and Alternative hypothesis. Ha: There is a visible relationship between index finger length and body weight; Ho: There is NOT a visible relationship between index finger length and body weight; I will also be using plenty of formulas such as this one, which shows how to find the T-Statistic, which gives you a P-value(probability that the event will occur) http://www.utstat.utoronto.ca/mikevans/mathstat/p312.jpg And only if your P-value is smaller than your alpha, which is normally .05, will you be able to reject your Ho, and accept your Ha. Thanks again for all the help, and if you were wondering, here is my info: 3.25" 145 lbs
  2. I am doing a project for my Statistics and Probability class and I need 30 sets of data. I need to test the relationship between the index finger length and your body weight. Please use inches when measuring your Index finger length, and pounds (lbs.) for your weight. This is due by Tuesday, December 2. So if I do not get enough data here, I will collect the rest around my area, or on other web sites. Thanks in advance, ~Zortum
