  1. huh. im not near an xbox so i cant test it, but when ever i changed the x to a higher height it would just shoot normally until there was a piece of collision or mach at or below that height. then it would snap back and forth between my gun and the piece of collision. I'll edit or repost once i get home and test it out. ty btw.
  2. Back in my modding heyday, i would never save my mods as patches or even just save the whole map, I would simply overwrite them with my new mods. bad idea. Now i got a college interested in seeing my mods and I have to redo all of them. All the ones I'm thinking of doing had problem solving involved and i forgot which steps i took to get the final outcome. basically i jus need some logic to help me figure out what im doin wrong. Hammer of dawn mod- sentinel beam with increased power comes down from the sky. i set the spawn points x,y,z to X(height)-50(might have changed it to 100, but im pretty sure i decided against it) Y(left/right)-0 in center, and Z(depth) to about 8. Then i increased the damage and damage radius/size of the beam. now the map wont load. and yes i already checked is i resigned it, resigned it again just in case, and it still wont load. is there a possibility that the spawn number (x for example) is just to big?
  3. i would think vehicles would be the same, since they use the same tags for the models and such, but then again they have different moving parts. all in all tho this was a very good tut. im only a medium-ly experienced modder, but a n00b at model injecting and doing models this way. (I've always used blender and done it from scratch. this is much much easier tho.) This should definitely be put in the Mod/Tut section (not in the forums but on that seperate page.)
  4. alright thx man. btw thx for putting in the support tag. first time i used this type of forum so i didnt know what topic tag meant.
  5. alright well, up until very recently (i've still been trying to fix it, to no avail) the xbox would basically load any disc as long as it was from a cold boot. put the disc in, restart xbox. that includes games, dvds, and modded discs. I've been using AID to try and fix it but i can't seem to get it to work. As for ring color I doubt you're gonna get any info out of that because when it was still working, i had it on the "flashing option" so that it would go green, yellow, red, etc etc. For some odd reason, after it gets past the splash screen it will go to flashing g,y,r; even AFTER i formatted the HDD. I mentioned "up until very recently" up there and that's because just this morning I went to go try again and it's been giving me the same screen as no disc in xbox for every possible solution, cold boot or not. it comes up with the (i believe) evox dash error screen (the one thats black and white with the skull and cross bones) that says that it cant find Partition C/Blah/Blah/dash.xbe. I know the blahs might be important but im away from the xbox currently and can't remember it exactly. It says "press 'A' to fix this problem." If I press A, it comes up with a loading bar for about 10 seconds, finishes and then reboots but just brings me back to that screen. On that error screen if you press Y it comes up with an Xbox stats/info screen and it will tell you what's in the dvd drive, if anything. You just cant run it from that screen.
  6. Alright, well I've been modding for a while now and I lent my xbox to a friend for a while and after I got it back, I was trying to make more room by cleaning up the drive and I accidentally moved a criticallly important file that caused the xbox to freeze. That was my first idiotic mistake. So I put in my AID v3 dvd and I go to reinstall the dash when I see "Format/Prepare HDD". How better to make room than to start with a fully clean hdd and then just add the dash so i have maximum space? That was the second and most idiotic of my idiotic mistakes. I forgot that AID installs the dashes alright, but it is assuming you have dash.xbe (or dashboard.xbe, one of the two) installed already, since that is what boots the dash. So now I'm stuck without dash.xbe and without a program that installs it. Any ideas to help me?
