Is there a way that you can take out the your hud in Halo 2 while still in first person? If I could do that, then I could use really good Halo 2 mod and use that as fake gameplay for my reach video.

Try enabling hardware acceleration, or running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2.

When you view a film in theater, the game is loading the map and the things that happened during the game. Its not a video file, so its impossible.
