But this time not for me! Cobbling together a build for someone I "know". Currently she has about 775 to spend, so, this is about all I can do, but she's going to sell her laptop, which will give her more dosh. But, you know, I figure build one for what she has at the moment. So, thoughts on the build? http://i.imgur.com/GTlHpEY.png Tried to talk her out of the disc drive by the way, I don't see much of a point anymore. They're basically obsolete for PCs now. Oh, and I opted out of the SSD and put the money into the CPU. I'm planning on sticking with this plan even if she gets the extra money, I'd like a second opinion on that as well. OS, keyboard, and mouse aren't factoring into it either. I didn't put fans in, but they're cheap anyway.

Oh god, this topic was started in 2011. It doesn't feel that long ago. How long have I been coming here? 08? I lost my original account after IBM moved domains, so, probably late 07/early 08. That's, almost five/almost six years. Huh, almost a third of my life. <3 5ever

For the most part they were new users. I'd assume they just didn't understand. It's so very apparent however.

The one I was looking at only had six hours on it. So, I can't buy it as I just made the paypal and I can't put dosh on it. I'll wait around for a week or so and see what pops up.

Yeah, I see two on Ebay just now, one with 21 minutes left at $260. Not sure if I should cop it or not, don't want to impulse buy at 260. The other's at $150 with six days left.

Just gaming really. Oh, and I found an old wallet with some dosh in it, so I can go up to around $900 now. ******' lucky day this is.

5970s are still over 400 dollars, but I'll poke around and see if I can find an older model that can out preform newer ones.
