Alright, makes sense. Generally though the system can provide enough power. Though there is one point I'm going to have to disagree with "The thermal compound was a decent one" When I took mine apart, it was ceramic based TIM. It might be different on Elites.
I'm not trying to argue with you, merely trying to offer an alternate method. Now, I built my own laptop cooling pad (What can I say, I didn't want to drop $80), and it is hooked up to a 12v power supply scavenged from a old external HDD. There are 3 fans running off of this power source, but they are not drawing 36v from it (otherwise it would burn out). Have you ever built a computer? If you have, you may know that many case fans run off of molex (4 pin / IDE) connectors, and are chained together (by design) because most people don't have enough connectors to power everything. Example pics below. http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq4/zavagnqu/1102102145a.jpg As you can see, there is the original connector, with two fans "Daisy Chained" onto it. (Sorry for the quality, taken via cell phone)
Some are for my parents new build, others for mine. http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq4/zavagnqu/1025101505a.jpg The RAM and PSU and 430 are going into my parent's PC. My old Mobo and CPU are going to them to. I'm taking the 955 and Deluxe4. The Deluxe4 is proving to be a bitch to set up, which is why I'm taking it. I love challenges.
You didn't seem to get my point. I understand it cannot track motion, but what I'm saying is that MS is going cheap here including such a shitty camera
You do realize that my brother's pocket video camera (Size of a 2nd gen Nano) can record 1080p @60fps... and it cost him less than kinect. In my opinion, gaming under 40fps kinda...sucks.
In theory, if I was treating this as a computer drive, I would convert the file system, try wiping the free space, then converting it back to the original file system. Unfortunately, I don't know if you could do that.
