First off, we're going to start out by extracting the model, so we can edit it! First open Dark Matter from the Winrar Archive. Right, when you open Dark Matter in the Archive, go to "bin">"Debug">"Dark Matter.exe", to open it. Now be sure to have the mainmenu & shared.map in the same folder as the map your modding. Find the model that your remodeling, I my demonstration, I'll be using the Sniper Rifle. So In Dark Matter click "File">"Open Map". Open the map that your modding. Go to the "[mode]" (Model) Tag, and find the sniper rifle tag (objects/weapons/rifle/sniper_fifle/sniper_file). Click it, and then Click "Raw Data Editor": http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-33.jpg Once you clicked on the "Raw Data Editor", click the "Export" Button, and save it to your desktop: http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-34.jpg Now save it on your Desktop: http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-35.jpg Now Open Milkshape 3D. Go to "File">"Import">"Wavefront .OBJ". http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-36.jpg Now open the .obj file in the Sniper Rifle Folder that you saved onto your desktop. If you don't understand I took a pic for yah: http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-37.jpg Now, you should see the sniper rifle in MS3D. http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-38.jpg Now model it, I add a plane to it, and a simple ball to the snout of the gun. You use the sides that are gray to add everything to it. http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-39.jpg Now once your done this is the really hard part. Alright now THIS IS THE HARDEST PART SO PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION! Now go to "File">"Export">"Wavefront .OBJ". http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-40.jpg Now this is the hardest, open the Sniper Rifle.obj folder and find the name of the standard thing. It should be named something like: sniper_rifle.standard.standard[0][0][0].obj Right click it and hit "Rename". Copy that name, be sure that it includes the .OBJ part. Now go back into Milkshape and find the "File">"Export">"Wavefront .OBJ". Now save the file as the name that you copied from the sniper_rifle.obj folder to your desktop. Now copy that 2 times on your desktop. Now drag that into the sniper_rifle.obj FOLDER. Hopefully you get a message saying something to overwrite:. http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-41.jpg Non-Windows Vista User's will see a similar screen to. If it doesn't then be sure to add a ".obj" to the end of the file that you saved and try it again. Then try to drag it into the folder and it should work. If it STILL doesn't work then contact me on AIM or reply to this message (AIM is lostmodz). Anyway now you should get the picture, your going to overwrite those .OBJ files w/The remodeled .OBJ files. So there should be like 3 .OBJ Files that you have to overwrite. Follow the steps and copy the names, and paste it over the other copies that you copied (The two .OBJ Files that I told you to copy on your desktop). Then as I told you drag them into your "sniper_rifle.obj" folder and it should give you an overwrite screen again. Do that for all 3 of the .OBJ files in the sniper rife folder. Now if that worked, which it does for me, then pat yourself on the back. However there is another tutorial on this modeling subject and after you do this step, you Import it in Dark Matter. I have tried and tried and it did not work. So, I found a way to inject it w/Entidy, but its a little bit harder. Now open Entidy now. Open your map and find the Sniper Rifle Tag that your remodeling. On the side, click the Blue Button Drop Down Bar. Then click "Export Meshes", then click "To .OBJs". Save it to your desktop. If you don't understand look at the pic I took for yah: http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-42.jpg Now export those things to .OBJ Files, and save it to your Desktop: http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages2/84-35.jpg Now the hardest part! You should see 3 files w/the name like: sniper_rifle[0].obj Copy that name. Now your going to go back to Milkshape (Be sure that you didn't close it) and go again to "File">"Export">"Wavefront .OBJ". Now paste the name of the thing that you extracted from Entidy, and you should get an "Are you Sure you Want to Overwrite" message: http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages4/84-1.jpg Now do the same step for all 3 of the .OBJ Files. YOU SHOULD SEE SOME .MTL FILES FORGET THOSE BUT DON'T DELETE THEM JUST YET! Now once all of the files you extracted from Entidy are overwriten, drag all of the .OBJ Files NOT THE .MTL FILES ONLY THE .OBJ FILES into the "sniper_rifle.obj" Folder. Now heres the fun part, injecting in the model! Alright go into Entidy now, and click on the Sniper Model Tag Again (Don't click the FP Tag, just the main one). Now click the Blue Drop-Down bar and click "Inject Meshes">"Inject .OBJ" Or something similar to that: http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages4/84-2.jpg Now a little box should come up, open the "sniper_rifle.obj" Folder. http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages4/84-3.jpg Now cross your fingers. If you did everything correctly you should get a message for the new name of the Meta. http://www.ibotmodz.net/forum/uploads/remoteimages4/84-4.jpg Now if it had an error a message should come up saying that you did something wrong. Reply to this topic if something is wrong, or contact me on AIM (AIM is lostmodz). DO NOT CLOSE ENTIDY IF IT HAD TO "NEW NAME OF META MESSGAGE" KEEP IT OPEN UNTIL THE PROGRAM REFRESHES AND YOU GET A "DONE" MESSAGE! So once your done that, its time to be sure that your model injection was sucessful. Click the Blue Dropdown bar and click "View Model". Now you should see your new model. Open Dot Halo and go to the Model Tag. Locate the new model. Copy the Meta Of that model and paste it over the "fp" (First Person) and the Normal Sniper Tag. Save Changes by hitting the "Save Changes" button in the tags windows. Map Resign it using CMR/Other Map Resigner, SmartFTP/File Transfer Protocal it. And start the game and enjoy you new model! Things u need: Entity a map (no duh) 1.Open entity and the map ur modin 2.Go to the matg tag and go to globals 3.Go to the meta editor 4.scroll down till u see airborne acceleration 5.u should see 1.05 put 6 or 7 6.find (save) at the top 7.then go down to (sign) 8.resighn with cmr or cmr2 or dmr 9.ftp and ur done!

How to make a vehicle respond on top on a weapon step 1. Open up dot halo v1 or v2 step 2. Open up the map of your choosing step 3. Now go to your [itmc] or item collection tag step 4. Go to the weapon that you want your vehicle to respond on top of. step 5. Now go over to to your dependencies window. ( if you have dot halo 1 it would be your Dependencies/LoneIDs/Reflexives tag. If you have dot halo v2 it would just be Dependencies. step 6. Now in the Dependencies window simply click whatever is there. step 7. Now in the window go the tag class drop down box. step 8. After you have placed it (as a weapon) go to the [itmc] tag again and right click and change to indents, click item and right click and this time hit swap, and then find the [scnr] tag in the box it opens and the find your effectsscenariosmultiwarlockwater_stream_1 . (it may seem thin but you can spawn 2 next to each other making it wider and more like a waterfall) step 20. Now clck the save box step 21. Resign the map step 22. Open every file that belongs to that vehicle in the Dependency editor and Null Out whatever you see it there. For the or , there are only four file paths that you have to open and then Null out, but for the warthog there is about ten. Then do the same thing for the shad tag, the lens tag, and the cont tag. What this does it make every part of the vehicle invisible except for the weapon. And of course, the weapon is a sentinel beam with a different skin that everybody in the game can see. step 13. After clicking ok youll notice a bunch of numbers pop up in the bottom right ex.00000011 exc. step 9. Keep on clicking the 0000 numbers until you find the text you want to edit(when clicking the numbers the text is highlighted in the window on the top right) step 10. Basics on dot halo [/size] Heres all of the basics on dot halo: Dot halo is a program that you use to use to make your own personal mods. You can even post your modz if you want to. I wrote some things from my website that I thought that I might make you like to post. Just to let you know, I wrote it. So read this its very important.: Ok this is how you post: If you want to post you have to upload your file so you can share it with others Of course its free. If you were just to upload the map it would take it about 30 minutes. However you can make it much, much faster. You need Super PPF o-matic Now open it (if you have it) or if you don't you can get it from my forums. Now once you have it open it. Once it is open go uo to the first thing that says Super PPF File. Click on the disk thing beside it. Now it should open up your documents. Open up your modded map. Once its open and on the line go to the end and put .sppf Now go down to Original File and put a clean map. Now go down to Patched File. Click it the disk thing beside it. Once you've clicked it put you original modded map. Now click Create Super PPF File. Now its time to upload your map. Go to any uploading site but in this demonstration we will use http://www.rapidshare.co de or something like that Once your there simply click browse Then choose your file. Click upload. Once your done uploading it copy the link Then once it's upladed go to my site, on the forums page. Click whatever catergory that you want you mod to be in. However in this demonstration we will choose the fum modz catergory. Once you've clicked it, click new topic. Now to get the link from rapidshare click http:// Once you've opened it paste the link. Now it should go to another box Type in it DOWNLOAD THE MOD HERE. Now its time to write your description. Simply write it Go to the bottom of the page and click post this topic. Now heres the basics on making modz: Now you'll need dot halo, the program that you use to make your modz Now once its open and ready simply click open map . Now it should open up your documents, or your maps. With the maps open choose the one of choice. Now to change what the weapon does go to the [weap] tag, or the projectile tag. Now on the left click on the small box with a very small cross in it. Now it should open up the tag and you should see a bunch of words. Now when it says objects/weapons/pistol/plasma_pistol/pistol_pistol. That is the plasma pistol tag. Now you should be familiar on choosing the tags. Now if you want to change what the plasma pistol shoots out do over to the Dependencies/LoneIDs/Reflexives window, or the window with a lot of things that you can click on. Now click on [proj]. Now if you want a plasma pistol to shoot out a rocket go to the drop down box that is right under the tag class drop down box. Now scroll down to the rocket tag. Now save changes. If you want to make your weapon shoot out a different thing (like a pink shield on turf) look at the first drop down box. That drop down box is called the tag class drop down box. Now change it from [proj] to [mach]. Now click on pink shield. There are much more tutorials in the 34 modding tutorials by me. How to apply a sppf patch so then you can play a sppf. patch Now I took a pic from this website to show on how you do it. Ok first open up PPF o-matic. Now look at the bottom part that says ppf o-matic. Click on the small disk and open up a clean map. Now on the second one select the patch that you got of the website. Select it and click create sppf. patch or something similiar. Now your donw. All that you have to do is FTP the map and you got a fresh nice new mod!
