Now that I think about the camcorder. It would be a huge hassle having to deal with PAL and NTSC codecs and stuff. Not impossible to work around but just one other thing to do while editing....

So probably wouldn't help and would make annoyances for real members. Nice suggestion though.

captcha system upon confirming email or something?Members who register though don't want to wait for myself or fattwam to manually approve them. That would most positively push away any possible member.

I turned on admin validation, even after the accounts are active, the bots give up by then.
I also made it so when someone is flagged as a spammer, they have all their posts deleted and the account banned.
good! on statuses (stati? statoi?) also?

same. It tripled the amount in off-topic.perhaps the spam posts end up in the COD section? I cannot see most of our traffic being COD.

Yeah but why post the comment count if you cant see the comments? lolIts pulling the comment count from that article + from the associated forum post of that article.
Working on moving comments over to just articles, or removing the comments from the article.
Why not make it like status comments? that would seem easier don't you think. You wouldnt have to make a whole forum for them.
