  1. all i do to turn ont he debug menu is press, RB/LB/RT at the same time. then RB/LB to open teh menu
  2. screenshots are stored in the active game partition in a folder called shots. you would need to view your harddrive while playing to see them.
  3. well, my research to getting the map magic is getting confusing, cause i can see the format for the original maps and how i should be able to get certain offsets but its not getting accurate readings, however after messing around with alot i have managed to get somewhere with realtime editing. heres a quick video of a simple weapon projectile realtime edit
  4. i believe the library involves the new analyze feather they put in with kinect. such as unlocking the library will likely make everything already scanned.
  5. for the last month or two befor the game came out they were testing to make sure glitches were still there, such as even the trick jumps. they must of had a fun time with the tower to tower one making sure it worked still.
  6. while forging i came across one of these, then another when i found a room. thx to chrisco for recording later and helping fine others.
  7. for those two cfg files. the game.cfg should be the main one youll mod. however if you didnt know you can add code into them that can correspond with the code in the xex. so if you knew where things were you could add other things. as well for the debug functions i was wondering if you would be able to call some of the old halo 1 ones such as teleporttocamera and so forth.
  8. i wish my download was faster to get this game. i plan to check a bunch of the files for the .maps and see whats different in them. as well as the original maps. cause if they use part of the old engine some of the format should be the same such as how they are saved. so hopefully modding should be similar to before. and xex with map encryptions removed i can easily make once i get my hands on one. i just need to decompile it and find out where its function is and break a branch to make it skip it like ive done in previous games. EDIT: thx fattwam, decompiling it now. ill update once i find some things for the time being EDIT2: that xex makes no sense, no individual variables at the top, and no Xecrypt. so apperently theres no checks if thats true. but no variables leads me to think the xex is wrong.
  9. which is why ascension works to take pictures, this xex allows you to edit the ram. but all other functions from neighborhood are disabled. if you wanted you can talk to nathan about buying a full one that allows the ftp transfer in neighborhood and anything else it can do. ($100)
  10. Recently i had gotten the source code for ascension from Dark, which i have been editing since then. Mostly through settings such as adding the alteration Ident swapper so you can choose to use that one, auto saving screenshots, and other small things like auto loading a map on start up. Then i started working with XEX modding, and real-timing that so you could activate debug cam and much more with that. So now there is a large selection you can choose from to change the xex. auto-aim not included. i dont support cheating. Then i talked to Nate(original person who made the RTELauncher and RTELoader so jtags could real time and we deleted all the jtag poking code. and setup a small XEX that would go onto a jtag as a plugin so you could real time edit with that automatically loaded instead of running a specific XWX. So once you install the plugin contained in this rar you will no longer need a special XEX to real time. it can be done from any XEX you choose. This XEX as well allows Jtags to take screen shots using ascension or alteration. Although being we cant freeze the console like a dev movement on the screen will affect the quality.   11. the program same as antity and alteration has problems with language setting. if your computer is set to english it should work. im guessing thats the error cause you said trasnlated
  12. yea well when i found it i know alot of people that dont go to that site. and i want it to get out befor people try to sell it.

  14. you wont be able to play together. in halo 3 there is 3 main securities for the .maps 1-the 2048bit RSA. which we use a modded xex to get past 2-connection host .map check. if your map doesnt match the other persons you are kicked to the lobby 3-connection host memory loading. this makes it so it one person changes there game it also changes on the others so its still equal or it doesnt actually change gameplay. if your non connection host and poke changes youll see them but for example projectiles youll see them but no differant damage. being jtags cant real time edit theres no way you could actually show the .map changes with the other person and if you did manage to get the map to load there console would still load there and like you said for testing the fog it wouldnt show on theirs. and another thing due to my understanding of xlink and XBC is the ping limit is to much on halo for others to connect. which is excluded to the fact that jtags can have that modded so they can connect to each other with them. if you dont know how its here http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=716361 do from what i know you would also need a jtag to properly go into xlink which if you had one why not just have the modded.map to properly see the mods. also being that xlink is using a lan network which is generally saying that the console is connected to the same wired network even if your console is banned you should be able to play. however from what i know when me and shade used to talk when he tried to play a usermap being his kv was banned he wasnt able to play. said he couldnt load the map ever so that might be an issue you come up with
  15. we made that UFO out of a hornet, tin cup, and the golf ball. then i just went and added other parts such as effects, a AA wraith turret for the lazer. edited some beams, some damage effects, and textures. the thing itself wasnt to complicated to make
