    Decompiling Android APPs using APKTool

    This tutorial helps decompile applications so you may translate or change the applications. This is used for the MIUI application, as the main ROM is Chinese.

    NOTE: This is not for illegal purposes.

    Requirements (Part 1)

    • APKTool (Download the most up to date version here: http://code.google.c.../downloads/list ) This is .jar file called apktool.jar. Made by Brut.all
    • A packaged ROM.
      • An APK you wish to decompile.
      • The associated framework-res.apk (located in the ROM)
    • Command prompt knowledge.
    • Script folder (To aid in running the JAR file). You may download below.
