ok i get right to the point

stand on the bookshield make sure you have the X endicator
now with your pistle out press B THAN X THAN LEFT OR RIGHT ON D-PAD (Not same time but in that order)
it can take several trys but its worth is

Yah a better tut would be nice separated into steps i vaguely remember you dont have to be looking in the same direction aswell

Heres a better tut

Get your self over a boomshield with your pistol out, press B, then x, then the d-pad left or right or even up (for what weapon you want), right after you press x. For example, if I had a nade, I would press B, then X and then up on the d-pad. It may take a while but it works great.
