There have been rumors of a new map pack around the time Halo 3 Recon comes out. The Mythic Map Pack will come out in January next year. The map pack is rumored to be an all remake map pack with 4 new maps, new achievements, and new forge items. It might be called the Old School Map Pack. One of the remakes rumored is a remake of the famous Blood Gulch. Check out more when more info comes out!

sources? Cause I thought that Bungie set in stone that Recon and Mythic wernt due out till fall '09.

Mythic comes out in early 2009 and Bungie Said Recon will come with new experience campaign and new multiplayer maps including Mythic for ppl that can't download them from live.

You get 3 maps in Jan, and the other 3 with Halo Wars.

Bunge has said that the mythic pack will be in 2 parts, one early next year and the other they havnt said, im sure the last 3 will come out around the time H3: Recon comes out

I havnt heard anything about an "oldschool map pack" bungie hasnt said anything, i doubt its true...then again i could be wrong

after mythic they cant do to much more with making peoples HDD overflow and disks blow up!!

This is of course a "RUMOUR" there will be no such thing as an "Unknown Map Pack", i know some employee's that i play with on a regular basis, and not one of them confirmed this, the only new maps to come will be the second branch of the mythic maps:

Longshore

Citadel

Heretic

These of course will be released in The Halo 3 : ODST

Bungie even confirmed that they will not be making anymore maps after the mythics, but they wont be finished with Halo 3 thats for sure
