this is for anyone, I can't get onto xbox live because my MTU fails everytime i try to get on, my MTU is 1365.

the test says something about test timing out or something like that, someone help please


also I've power cycled a couple times but it hasn't worked yet, it's been about a week

Type default gateway on computer browser that has internet (Ex. 192.168.1.1)

Go to "General Settings"
Set "MTU" to Auto or above 1500

XboxLive requires about 1500 because it needs to transmit a maximum of 1500 units at points. 1365 is too slow for sign on to occur.

i kinda tried 1500 once but i didn't power cycle, and when i fail it just says, need a minimum of 1364, but thanks peach i'm going to try this

if its ur mtu u need to change u modem setting by putting in ur gateway number then it will ask for a password then if u have never done this before the pass and username should be admin. hope this helps

thanks peach, when it fails it says it needs a minimum of 1364, that's just stupid, but thanks a lot
