So you cant get VIP any other way than donating $5? Sounds ok to me! As long as the people who are already VIP get to keep it ^^.
$5 or 200 posts. Maybe a higher post count should be added (1000 posts) and if they are too lazy for that they can just buy it.

no, make people desrve vip not from just spamming, can i get it threw your head.
We have a tryout section, and you post a topic saying why you deserve vip and why you think you deserve and what you done for the site
not posts

Maybe more like the moderators have to approve you to become VIP.
Keep helpful members than.

Yes, legacy is a smart one. This is why i love Legacy, he knows how to think around the cube.

but i think you mean "think outside teh box", right?...
Anyways, i was not even aware of a VIP section or what it held in it for me at all until about 1 week before the first hacking of iBM. I have not changed my manners in this site since discovering a VIP section, as i am sure when i am deserving enough of VIP, i will hopefully be let known of that. As it should be.
Though spam is a bad thing, i think people around here would know when someone is:
1. plain old spamming to get VIP. Or
2. Actually spends time to post constructively on the forum thanks to having a lot of free time and devotion.
So a 200 post limit for VIPs being the only requirement should be thought over, as it is too inviting of needless spam.
-Like it was mentioned before,a tryouts section would be nice.. but may be intimidating to some new members.
-Why not have a undisclosed amount of helpful threads or tutorials or apps posted , than when the person reaches that limit and a unspecified limit of time, he/she is notified as a new VIP member, who has deserved it due to his latest activity on the site being welcomed and helpful. Encouraging him/her to not let up on the helpfulness to the community.
