it seems every peice of software i now download and try to run gives me the error unable to opne would you like to send an error report etc.... any idea why this is happening?

Download the newest .net firmware, i think there is 3.5, thats what i have and it works great. Here it is

make sure you get all .NET frameworks, the latest one doesn't include the old ones, they are patches. Be sure to get them all.
