anyone and everyone, who has experience with Gears of war modding, Unreal tournament experience especially Unreal Tournament 3 lets worth together and make mods possible.

The actual game without the .bik video files is just under 3GB!

bik files have been removed due to huge size and
not helpful to the modding community.

CookedXenon folder has been removed this includes textures,
maps and is 2.9GB (download the iso to get these files
{I will not help you download this})
file extension for all the files in that folder are .xxx
it maybe worth trying to open these with the latest unreal
editor.

PC Graphics cards are listed in the Coalesced.ini file.
res is listed at 1024 x 768 (could be screen resolution)
first example: ResX=640
					  ResY=480
could this mean that this game is not truly 720p but
upscaled in stead? keep in mind 720p starts at 1280x1024.

Keep in mind when injecting files back into the game the
file size has to be the same as it originally was other wise
the console will probably reject the disc or give dirty
disc error after initial videos.

use wxripper (wx360) to inject files back into the iso.

This is what I have found so far, I will be getting the UT3 unreal editor soon and see what I can do.

Epic want mods on the 360, but Microsoft wont let them, but this is not a Micorosft GameXstudio game so lets see what they left open

the files I have uploaded are in a .rar folder and two rar's within that and a txt document.

so post back with any findings of your own.

I have UT3 on the pc now just need to test out the files anyone got a powerful pc? mine is 5 years old

Unreal Tournament 3 has the same graphics and feel of Gears but UT3 is faster paced and doesn't have a REAL campaign. This campaign you play like Capture the Flag, DeathMatch , Team DeathMatch, and Warfare which is just destroying the other teams Node (base basically).

Other than that UT3 has more choices for weapons and has newer options than GoW did for instance Mutators (Low Gravity, Fast Speed, Slo Mo, Big Heads, etc)

And in UT3 the achievements are a lot easier and Insane on UT3 is actually pretty hard compared to GoW Insane.

i didnt mean gameplay wise there similiar in the way the characters textures and geometry are the same

Hey I'm up for this though I've been wanting to mod Epic games again (UT on PC) and I wanted to do GoW but I was tooo late...

I'll be postin back if I find anything ground breakin about it though..

Hah yeah....those were the good old days....

But over all the game is pretty fun...i play it a lot when im bored with gears or tired of it....

do you need cabels for it also apparently you can do some realey awsome character mods ive seen some on you tube i dont know if they were on the pc or the PS3
